Head-hunting, published accounts and AGM

Recommended Posts

Will we see movement on those fronts this week?

I could be miles off but I see it as....

1. SFA grant permission for Ashley to increase his holding above 10%

2. Easdales possibly sell theirs to Ashley and depart

3. Chosen CEO employed

4. Accounts published

5. AGM date announced with many moonbeams

4 & 5 have to happen in the next 24 days at the latest.

3 has to happen so he can say "Nothing to do with me guv it was all the previous boards fault."

1 may well happen though I don't think it will occur that quickly.

2 I'm not convinced of though it will happen one day.

I can't see the Easdales (or those they represent) leaving until next summer at the earliest. By that time, as long as Ashley underwrites a share issue and we're promoted, their holding will have went up in price.

Does anyone know if they've actually advertised either of the positions left vacant since the departures of Wallace & Nash?

Apparently Mr.Somers is looking at CV's but not applications, maybe.

He thought Stockbridge had been a force for good at Ibrox.

Here's a video of BS about 13 months ago after releasing the accounts.

Given the horse-shit he comes out with, he was always going to have to leave the building, long before reallity hit home.

If you cast your mind back 6 months to May, the Club were apparently using Odgers Berndtson to advertise for a Chief Operating Officer and a Chief Commercial Officer and it was spoken about on the Gers forums including here.

Given that - as far as we know - nobody was hired for either of those positions, it maybe raises questions as to what was going on back then and if those job ads were really for Rangers?

Odgers Berndtson certainly don't have any executive positions currently advertised for a Scottish football club, just 8 oil & gas industry positions in Aberdeen and four positions at Dundee University.

If the Rangers board are no longer (or were never) using Odgers Berndtson to advertise executive positions, it would be interesting to know what company and/or methods they're using to find a new CEO and FD.
