Eck's 1st squad doesn't fling up many surprises apart from the inclusion of Richard Hughes who is gash and Steven Caldwell from Sunderland. Who the fook is he?

Lumping fffffffffu....Stevie Thompson is in that squad!!!

Stevie Smith is still injured juffery - but I see your point.

Is it commonplace to have almost half your squad made up of defenders ? A 30 man squad and 13 are defenders whilst you only take 4 recognised strikers ??

Surely we should be having more than 4 strikers in a squad ?

McFadden has done his metatarsel. Webster is out for another 4 weeks. Gary Caldwell is still injured too. I was so trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but just one wee interesting inclusion in a squad that size would have been nice.

By all accounts big Thommo has been playing alright this season alongside Chopra.

I can't think of many other scottish strikers that are good enough for this level.

C'mon Riordan scores more goals than him, Naismith has more zip. Thompson is by nomenas any sort of long term solution. Starting spots will be between miller, mcfadden and boyd the other striker would be a back-up/supersub. Who would you rather see come off the bench when you are needing a bit of magic for the breakthrough against Georgia?
