Former Man City defender Wabara arrives at Murray Park hoping to sign

Watched a fair bit of video footage of this guy Wabara last night and while he looks decent I honestly can't say I was overly impressed. If Warburton signs him I'll give him a chance, but I certainly didn't finish watching the video footage thinking he'd be a brilliant signing.

From the looks of it he was as able going forward as Foster. But one would have to see him on a daily basis to evaluate him more. Thus, we're back to the "in W&W we trust" mantra.

From the video footage of him he looks like a pretty tidy passer of the ball, is strong and can tackle, but he looks extremely awkward tying to cross balls into the box. Cross after cross - dozens & dozens of them - looked awkwardly chipped without enough pace and too high.

Let's be honest Zappa if he was tidy passer, strong, could tackle AND could cross a ball he probably wouldn't be coming to us in the Scottish first division. And crossing it easier to work on than tackling for example.

Full backs for me in this order:

Positional awareness

Tackle

Pass

Quick

And if he can cross the ball aswell then it's someone who won't be in Scotland for long :-)

I always think back to Stuart Munro , a player who was slaughtered weekly , until a certain Mr Souness got a hold of him and he became one of the first names on the team sheet , amazing what certain managers can get out of players , lets all wait and see eh !!!!
