Sellick Reserve player from Poland wants to kill us all and refers to us as H*ns.

I have nicked this from FF (where no accreditation is given) as the BBC report misses out the revealing use of the "H" word. Where would a Polish reserve keeper learn such language and pick up such hate-filled attitudes do you imagine?

"Proceedings began just after 11.30am with Mr Paton entering a plea of "incrimination," laying the blame for the assault he is accused of on a Christopher McClusky. Crown counsel told the court that the victim of the assault, footballer Lucaz Zaluska was not available to give evidence as he was in Germany.

The first witness called for the prosecution was Mark Wilson, 31. After being sworn in Wilson told the court he was a former footballer with Dundee United FC and had left the club in January this year. The witness told the court he had been in Glasgow's Ashton Lane on the 20th October 2014 socialising with his wife Kelly and a group of friends including the accused Paul Paton and a Christopher McClusky.

At around 11.40, Wilson said, the group left a public house on the lane "Jinty McGinties," and met Lucasz Zalusaka, a former Celtic team-mate. Asked to describe Zaluska's state Wilson said he was "pretty far gone" and under the influence of alcohol. The witness then told the court that Paton introduced himself to Zalusaka and shook his hand. Zaluska then said "you are Rangers" to Paton who replied "no I play with Dundee United." Zaklusak, the court heard "wouldn't let it go," and kept saying "you are Rangers" and "I hate Rangers,""I thought he was being overly-aggressive" Wilson said.

The witness told the court that at this point he felt "something might happen" and stepped between Paton and Zaluska. Wilson said he then ushered Zalusaka away towards Byres Rd and advised him to get a taxi home but the goalkeeper then turned round and "started shouting up the lane, "I hate Rangers, I want to kill all Rangers fans." "I asked him what he was talking about," Wilson said. The accused, the witness told the court, then approached Zalusaka and "slapped" him. The goalkeeper, Wilson said, then stumbled and fell backwards against a taxi. "I was surprised it [the slap] would knock a guy as big as him down," Wilson added.

Asked by the prosecution the witness agreed Zaluska had not "laid hands" on Paton although he had been aggressive. Wilson said he then went to leave the scene in a taxi but "within a minute" he heard a "commotion" and looked back to see Zaluska unconscious in the ground with blood coming from his head. The witness told the court he did not see how this happened. He then went to Zalusaka and stayed with him until he regained consciousness.

The court was then shown CCTV footage taken from a camera inside a branch of the TSB on Ashton lane/Byers Rd. A man in the footage, Wilson said, appeared to be Paul Paton. The recording, the court was told, appeared to show a "coming together" of two people, however because of the angle only the leg of the second person can be seen. A further piece of footage, Wilson agreed, showed him and Zalusaka in Ashton Lane with the witness holding the goalkeeper back "to stop him getting to Paul." The pair then walk down the lane towards a taxi rank at the bottom of the lane. Wilson identified another person on the footage as a journalist, Matt McGlone, but told the court McGlone had not been in his company on the night in question and he had only found out who he was after the incident.

There was then a brief break while a legal matter was discussed

When proceedings resumed Wilson was asked about the injuries sustained by Zaluska and told the court there was "a fair bit of blood," on the victims head.

Defence Counsel, Mr Lavell, then rose to cross-examine the witness. Wilson confirmed the incident occurred on a Sunday and the players would not be expected back for training until the following Tuesday. Asked by counsel Wilson said he had "four or five pints" and a "couple of vodkas" but did not think either he, or Paton, were particularly drunk as he had consumed the alcohol over nine or so hours.

The witness told the court that Zaluska was with two woman and there was another man who appeared to be in his company but he had not been introduced to him. He agreed that it was the goalkeeper who "appeared to have an issue" and nothing Paton had said was anything other than "friendly conversation." "In a matter of seconds, he [Zaluska] appeared to get something in his head about Rangers," Wilson added. The witness agreed that that the goalkeeper had said to him: "I'll phone Paddy McCourt [an Irish Celtic player] and tell him you are with a hun."

The witness told the court that he had been "taken aback" by Zaluska's comments especially given the crowded nature of Ashton Lane at the time and agreed it was a possible that other people could have got involved given what he was shouting. Wilson said that Paton had initially been calm but as the goalkeeper kept shouting he "became more animated," and finally slapped Zaluska on the face. "It was not a clean punch," he told the court. The witness said that after that he had left the scene having "had enough," of the situation."

Matt McGlone one time (may still be) Celtic fanzine editor apparently saw it quite differently and was the prosecutions star witness. Zaluska was clearly raising money for refugee orphans when he was the victim of an unprovoked attack by Paton. Jinty McGinty's is becoming a magnet for lunacy.

...Dundee United star Paul Paton fined £500 after punching former Celtic keeper Lukasz Zaluska - after a threat the goalie wanted to 'kill all Rangers fans'

GLASGOW Sheriff Court heard that Mr Zaluska said "You are Rangers" to Paton after he introduced himself and claimed to hate Rangers and "wanted to kill all Rangers fans".

SPL star Paul Paton has been fined £500 after punching former Celtic keeper Lukasz Zaluska - after a threat that the goalie wanted to "kill all Rangers fans".

Dundee United midfielder Paton was out with his friend when he met team mate Mark Wilson and joined his group to socialise.

At the end of their night in Ashton Lane, they met Lukasz Zaluska, who Mr Wilson knew from his time at Celtic.

Glasgow Sheriff Court heard that Mr Zaluska said "You are Rangers" to Paton after he introduced himself and claimed to hate Rangers and "wanted to kill all Rangers fans".

It was also heard that he shouted "I will kill you" to Paton.

After Zaluska left Ashton lane with Mr Wilson and went on to Byres Road, Paton punched the former Celtic goalkeeper on the head, causing him to slide down the side of a taxi.

Paton then walked away from the incident and a short time later Zaluska was found unconscious and bleeding on the ground in Ashton Lane.

After a trial at the court where Paton, from Paisley, was accused of repeatedly hitting Mr Zaluska and causing injury, the Crown amended the charge and he pled guilty.

He admitted punching Mr Zaluska on the head on October 20 at Byres Road, Glasgow.

Sheriff Andrew Normand fined him £500 and told him "it's clear this is an incident which you regret" but said he should not have got involved.

Former Celtic and Dundee United player Mark Wilson gave evidence at the trial yesterday (Tues).

Mr Wilson told the court he had been out with his wife Kelly and some others including footballer Jim Goodwin in Ashton Lane and later met up with Paton and his friend Chris McCluskey.

He said that after leaving the last pub as they began to make their way to Byres Road to get a taxi, he saw Mr Zaluska.

Mr Wilson said that Paton joined in with his conversation with his ex team mate.

The witness told procurator fiscal depute Stephen Ferguson, that while chatting to him, Paton introduced himself to Mr Zaluska and they shook hands.

He said: "Lukasz shook his hand then continued to look as if he was going to continue his conversation with myself, then turned to Paul and said 'you are Rangers', to Paul.

"Paul said 'No, I play with Mark."

Mr Wilson added: "He went on, he wouldn't let it go. He said 'You are Rangers, I hate Rangers'. Paul said to me 'Is this guy joking?'. I remember Paul saying that quite clearly."

He said Mr Zaluska was "kind of being aggressive" and Mr Wilson stood in between the two men.

The former Celtic player said he asked his wife to stay with Paton and he ushered Mr Zaluska out of the lane to Byres Road.

It was heard that Mr Zaluska turned around and started shouting things up the lane, where Paton was saying he "wanted to kill all Rangers fans"

Mr Wilson said: "He had suggested he was going to phone an Irish friend of mine to say I was hanging out with Paul Paton, a Rangers fan".

It was suggested by defence lawyer Billy Lavelle, the friend was Paddy McCourt and that Mr Zaluska said he was going to tell him that he was "with a hun".

The witness said he couldn't be 100 per cent but it was words to that effect.

It was heard that Mr Zaluska also threatened to kill Paton.

The court was told Paton went down the lane towards the men and said "What are you saying?" and "You can't be saying things like that in the street."

Mr Wilson said the shouting continued and Paton told him to stop.

He said Paton reached over his shoulder and hit Mr Zaluska in what he described was a "kind of push, slap" to his face and he stumbled back.

The witness said he didn't know if he caught the kerb but that Mr Zaluska fell into a taxi and at that point he "had enough" and went to get his wife and they went into another lane nearby.

Mr Wilson said he then heard a commotion and saw Mr Zaluska unconscious on the ground and bleeding from the head.

Mr Wilson said he didn't see where Paton was and that when Mr Zaluska came to, he asked where Paton was.

The court heard he waited with him until the police arrived and the ambulance, and he had been checked over.

Mr Lavelle said: "Mr Paton faced substantial provocation from the other gentleman."

He added that it doesn't justify his client's actions but "perhaps gives a background" and that on that day he "felt he couldn't take any more of the abuse".

The solicitor advocate said: "He has never denied that, the question was whether there was a second incident, which he did not accept."

Paton declined to comment as he left the court.

Curiously, this is how The Guardian's Ewen Murray reported the affair at the time. No wonder some people trip over into paranoia.

Ronny Deila said Celtic’s second-choice goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska was left shaken by a street attack in Glasgow in the early hours of Monday but the manager will have no problem including the Pole in his squad for Thursday’s Europa League visit of Astra Giurgiu.

Police are investigating an assault on Zaluska that left the 32-year-old with facial injuries. He had been on a night out in the city’s Ashton Lane with his partner, a matter Deila has no issue with.

“Hhe was a bit scared about this but everything is good now,” Deila said. “He has trained well the last couple of days, so is ready. I talked to him about what happened. It is a police case now, I hope they can make it right and we just have to wait and see. He hasn’t done anything wrong from our perspective. We just have to support him and feel sorry for him because that is a hard thing to go through.

“It is not a problem if they want to go out for dinner and do something social. Of course that is OK. He hasn’t done anything wrong. He was out for dinner and that is perfectly right. That’s why you get frightened about this, it’s not fun to experience things like that and we have to take care of him.”

Its no longer 'isolated incidents' - thats Griffiths, Tonev, Stokes and now Zaluska...all of whom have been at the club within the past few seasons. There must be some sort of culture at CFC....

Also worth mentioning that by association, one can safely assume Paddy McCourt is yet another who shares in these views given his mention by Zaluska in the statement.

Deila is presumably going on what he was told at the time and Murray on what Deila was told.

But, as others have said, what the f**k is going on at the club?
