Saw this brought up in another thread and thought it deserved its own. I think Kenny has been brilliant for us this season. His work rate at his age is superb. He has his flaws that have been well documented over the years but he has played a massive part in our successes this season. I also think his influence over the younger players has probably been a great benefit to their development. Who'd have thought when we re-signed him he'd still be doing a job for us at his age. With only Waggy having a better mins per game (see other thread) than Miller in the Championship, do we think he could still do a job for us next season albeit being involved less? Id keep him on for another season, he knows what the club is all about.

I want to hate him, I never wanted him kept on for this season and I was wrong. So with that in mind I'll be happy with what the gaffer and SDW want to do, his name seems to be one that pops up when young team members are talking about positive influences on and off the field and a great role model. His involvement for this season wasnt supposed to be as regular as it has been, he's admitted this himself and we will be getting another striker in the summer but by all accounts he's great to have around and as we've seen still is able to play.

There was a lot of doubters over the season re Kenny but I was in support of him all the way a valuable asset to the club.

My hope is that Zalelam goes back to Arsenal after today's game and not be seen by us again just hope he does not let us down today.

I think Kenny really stepped up when Waghorn got injured. Although he was effective enough before that, he's been first class since - both in terms of goals scored and overall contribution.

In an ideal world we hopefully won't have to rely on him as much next season but he's clearly a useful player to retain and his experience crucial in the dressing room.

I don't want to spoil people's Sunday afternoon but it wouldn't surprise me to see him develop his coaching career and end up here in that capacity.
