If we make the CL qualifiers for the 2017-18 campaign we'll only have a couple of pub teams to play before we get to play the big boys.

It will have nothing to do with how the rest of the teams in Scotland perform from now til then.

Final word on this: if Scottish teams continue to fail, we will be so unseeded that we will get knocked out before September. This will be due to us not being tested in our own league so that a team from Latvia or Norway for example could outclass us. And that cycle will continue. Baffled how people don't get this. How often does a successful Euro team come from a weak domestic league?

I'd contest this in that realistically we can't fall much further in terms of National seeding on the co-efficient table and subsequent level of entry to european competition. However yes, we could by going up the table improve the subsequent level of entry.

There are so many below us that the later is more likely and realistic than the former. To go up the way, you'd probably need both Rangers and Celtic to start having decent European seasons. To actually have Scotland improve the co-efficient to a level that made a difference to current entry level, you'd need several seasons of vastly improved numbers.

However, if you have Celtic qualifying for the CL gp stages, it'll probably make it more difficult for us to win league and get into the CL ourselves.

When involved in the draws themselves it comes down to the individual club co-efficient and given it'll be more than 5 years since we played in Europe, we'll have to build that up from near to 0. This is our biggest problem in getting started in Europe and reaching any group stages because we'll be in the unseeded half of draws and be vulnerable to an unlucky draw with a strong team before our season really starts.

I'm home alone. The telly is rotten so listening to the mank match on the radio.

Nearly 0-2 there. :seal:

I'm watching it on a streaming link and laughing my socks off. We have to appreciate that though the imps aren't quite Molde (ground capacity 11,300) they are still a Euro force with a ground capacity of 5,000

And i saw them mock our victory away to Charelston Battery? Hilarious.

Guy on the radio said it could be 3 or 4 - 0 just on second half chances.

The manks seem to forget that Brendan is working with the same wasters who blew it last year. :seal:
