Well, you would hope the Astana guy settles a score or two tonight.

Brenda has the English prices in the head, and putting the fee on the racist's head is probably sweetening any unwanted early exit from the prime competition in Europe. It will not ward off any English interest, but gives them an indication of what the Yahoos will look for. If they get half of that, they'll rip the money out of the buyers' hands, rest assured.

Regarding Griffiths ... mentality and persona aside, he knows where the goals stand. I wouldn't be surprisd if we have e.g. Rossiter standing on his toes in an OF game, just to keep him quiet or make him lose the plot. But with a bit of luck, Soton or the like happen by again and take him across Hadrian's Wall.

In another paper he was quoted as saying Griffiths would be a £15 million player if he were a foreigner. It never occurred to me that an accent could make that much of a difference in avalue and aside from that it's all the more ludicrous since if he were really of that level he wouldn't be there at all since numerous EPL and even championship sides could and would make them an offer they couldn't/wouldn't refuse at a lesser price since he doesn't have a more expensive accent.

Astana were abysmal in both legs, the left back Shitov who's name appears to be two letters too long caused the loss of the away goal at home then tonight gave away a 90th pen earning him a red card. The penalty conceded in injury time of the 1st half was something not usually associated with CL football but more in tune with Grampa having a kick-about with his kids after school time.

Really there are some dodgy 'clubs' in these qualifying rounds, really crap!

Zagreb (trained by Niko's father), Kopenhagen and even Hapoel would provide a nice challenge, the latter kicked out Sparta Prague.

Dundalk ... now, I don't know the background of them, but either it will be a pro-Republican fan-feast of the (raped) "Hands across the Water / Brothers in Arms / Irish Eyes are smiling" category, or the Dundalkers are in for a republican culture shock from their faux-Irish "friends" in Scotland.

With respect to all the above, the hooped whores look nailed onto qualification.

We can but hope.

Personally, I should be pleased if the Israeli team turfed them out.
