ian1964 10,457 Posted August 26, 2016 Share Posted August 26, 2016 (edited) Again mention no of Rangers on the STV sports news,all about C****c/Hearts/Hibs/Raith/DUTD..................you would think the league leaders playing tonight would be worth a mention in the sports section?, BBC news was the same,but they only spoke about C****c and the CL!,you would think they wanted to promote the Scottish game?. In anticipation of the game, Killie tweeted on their official Twitter account a stat about striker Kris Boyd, who is looking to score his 100th goal for the Ayrshire club. It read: “Can Boyd score his first goal against Rangers and take his total over the 100 mark tonight?” Boyd, who has had three spells at Kilmarnock and two at Rangers in his long career, netted three times against the Ibrox side prior to their 2012 liquidation. It’s been a bone of contention for fans throughout Scottish football whether Rangers are the same club as the one that existed prior to 2012, with Gers fans vehemently insisting that they are. It’s an opinion backed up by SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster. Earlier this year, Gary Harkins came in for criticism from the Rangers support when he joked they were a “new club” who he’d “never played before”. Nice to see Dodoo starting . Bit peeved that Miller is starting and not Garner - tho usually if I spend my energies slagging off either Kenny or Waghorn they end up hitting the winner! We can't afford to use games as training sessions!,we need to win the match and the manager has picked the team he thinks will win it!,Kranjcar will come on when hopefully Killie will tire a wee bit and have an influence,Dodoo needs match time as well, Forrester will give us energy from the midfield which is what we need,Kranjcar can't give us that energy yet.
