Former player Max Murray has passed away

Recommended Posts

I remember Billy Ritchie thumping the ball upfield at Cathkin I think and Maxie trapped the ball instantly with the sole of his boot. He drew a round of applause for that.

The game experience just seemed a whole lot simpler and more enjoyable in those days.

Sorry to hear, best wishes are with his family.

Part of my childhood in the fifties, though more memories of Billy Simpson, who played number nine in my first visit to Ibrox. Then Don Kitchenbrand, who Max Murray followed, played about three seasons before Jimmy Millar took over.
