Daniel Prodan has died - 16/11/2016, aged 44

Genuinely saddened to hear about the death of Prodan. He was the player who 'might have been ' for us. When he signed for us in 1998 he was one of the top CB's in Europe and the world too probably.

 

When O'Neil took over at the east end he put out a more physical presence up front signing Mutton & Hartson. We struggled with that at times but Prodan would have thrived on that IMO. A tough CB who was as hard as nails I genuinely believe O'Neil may well not have lasted had a fully fit Prodan played for us. But sadly we'll never know

I always thought he was a right back

Shocking to hear. Was an exciting signing at the time.

 

Amoruso was in the same boat when signed, didn't kick a ball for a year if I remember right.

 

As for Jardel - he allegedly signed and sitting in the Main Stand at a game then disappeared.
