They know Dembele will be away at the end of the season and have managed to get everyone talking about the £40m. they even issued a statement to say that they did not turn down a £40m bid when nobody claimed that they did. It makes inflating the price later on that much easier. Dembele travelled to London for a knee scan on transfer deadline day and would later allay the fears of Celtic fans by tweeting to tell them he was not leaving Parkhead. (Evening Times) - Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has also insisted no offer was made, calling the story “pure speculation”. These stars have (ahem) snubbed Chelsea to stay at celtic and one in particular is a now a very valuable commodity even though no buyer has made an offer.
