Ross Wilson turns down Ibrox move

Why is this rag telling us before it is on official site, ist it official or has it been leaked???

why would the official site tell us that someone rejected the job? not something they would normally advertise.

Yes, plus the less said by the club seems the best way of avoiding red faces. E. G. "Imminent appointment of winners" is what makes knock backs look bad. Knock backs re coming to Scottish football should otherwise be unsurprising.

Seriously????

Why on earth would the club publicly admit that someone had knocked back a job offer??? Is this the level of "transparency" that fans are expecting now??? A wee email sent to fans saying "right lads....offered Wilson the job, knocked it back. need to try & someone else now - any ideas??"

Till now, there has been virtually zero hard info coming out of the club as to who they have even spoken to about either role. Anything that the media are putting out is very close to pure speculation - they have no hard facts...if they did, we would know EXACTLY who was interviewed. This is backed by the fact that the media are heavily pushing McInnes, yet have to ask Stewart Milne if RFC have made any contact (only to be told NO).

It sounds to me like Wilson has possibly not been offered the position and is trying to save face but saying he refused the job - looks a lot better than saying someone else got it!!!

On the contrary it would leave the Managing Director looking rather foolish.

Only if there was only one outcome feasible and one follows the modern day blame-mentality. Wanting someone in a good position would require to offer him a better job - in his opinion. And no matter what our MD might have had to offer, the decision lies with Wilson in this case. We hardly know what he - or any other potential DoF - gets now or has on the table.

It was obvious that Wilson was not coming days ago. The board had moved on.

RANGERS

Sky sources- Rangers DoF target Paul Mitchell has left his role as Tottenham head of recruitment & been placed on gardening leave.

Sky sources also understand Paul Mitchell would consider the Director of Football role at @RangersFC.
