Harry Dunn, 84, is facing one allegation of assault and sodomy and a second charge of assault and attempted sodomy. Dunn, from Edinburgh, appeared in private at the capital’s sheriff court today where he entered no plea. The pensioner, who was arrested by police officers in March, was released on bail and the case was continued for further examination. It is believed Dunn also worked for Liverpool and Chelsea during his scouting career. Police Scotland joined forces across the UK last year in launching an investigation after allegations of historical abuse in football were made public. And Celtic FC have no say whatsoever in who gets appointed in Celtic Boys Club? And all those photos of young boys and Celtic first team players and managers too. Just coincidence ? Do they think we're all stupid ? What we have here is a club infiltrated by paedophiles during the 1960's, 1970's, 1980's and 1990's now too. Is this club just incredibly unlucky or is there something more sinister here? The time has long past when the SFA can bury its head in the sand & pretend there is nothing they can do.If it is proven that cover-ups took place (over 4 decades)severe punishments must take place which may include the removal of past honours, demotion from the top division and a European ban That's how serious this is. No matter how big that club is in world football. They could console themselves with the notion that it would be another "furst furrahoops".... Seriously, a full investigation into the activities of that club is essential. If it is found to have sought advantage in youth recruitment by knowingly prejudicing children's safety, if it is found to have covered up criminal acts (flouting the Law in its own interests), then for either, or both of these wrongs it, and the men responsible, must receive appropriate sanction under Law, and exemplary punishment by the football authorities. The Celtic Boys’ Club founder, who was originally brought to justice after a Daily Record investigation, is facing fresh claims of child sex abuse. But Torbett, 69, remained tight-lipped when confronted in a California shopping centre by BBC reporter Mark Daly. The predator, of Kelvindale, Glasgow, was allegedly booted out of the Boys’ Club in 1974 by legendary Celtic boss Jock Stein over abuse claims. But he was allowed to come back into the fold after Stein left the club in 1980. Last month alleged victim Kenny Campbell claimed he was abused by Torbett in the 80s. A BBC Scotland documentary also alleged many more offences against boys were carried out after this time.Daly travelled to the US following a tip off and located Torbett in a suburb of Modesto. But due to strict trespassing laws the he had to wait two days to confront the sex offender in shopping mall.During a tense exchange another man, named as William Gilbert, tried to prevent filming by covering the camera. Torbett declined to answer the majority of the questions put to him by Daly.But when asked what he had to say to Campbell, he replied: “I have a lot to say. I’ll see him in court.” He denied being a paedophile. Torbett, who denied the show’s fresh allegations at the time, was only ever convicted for crimes committed up to 1974. But alleged victim Kenny, of Uddingston, Lanarkshire claimed he was abused in the 80s.He moved to Celtic’s reserves in 1989 after three years with Celtic Boys’ Club. Kenny told the BBC: “I feel aggrieved at that if they had never let him back in, it would have f****** never happened in the first place.“I could have had a normal life, normal people round about me. Another victim who spoke to the BBC said Torbett abused him dozens of times over three years from 1990. The documentary, Football Abuse: The Ugly Side of the Beautiful Game, also revealed police have spoken to several others. The BBC programme claims to have spoken to three other former Celtic Boys’ Club officials who say they were told Stein sacked Torbett after complaints he had abused boys. The police were never called. It alleged Torbett’s departure from Celtic Boys’ Club was described in club magazine The Celtic View as a business decision - amounting to a “massive cover-up”. After the new BBC revelations about Torbett and former Rangers and Hibs coach Gordon Neely, SFA chief executive Stewart Regan urged victims of historical child sexual abuse to come forward. Torbett was jailed for two years in 1998 for abusing three former Boys’ Club players, including ex-Scotland star Alan Brazil, between 1967 and 1974. The Daily Record won an award for an investigation, led by then chief reporter Anna Smith, that helped bring Torbett to justice. “If Celtic had done their due diligence as they always say.“And it wouldn’t have happened to me.” Kenny, who has fought to clean up his life after the abuse resulted in drink and drug problems, said that, after he joined Celtic Boys’ Club at 13, Torbett won the trust of his parents, even spending a Christmas Day with them. It is therefore unclear what, if anything, Torbett has declared.The United States does not have access to the Police National Computer however they can request details of criminal convictions on an individual request basis. Further to that, from FF: The William Gilbert who is protecting Torbett in the USA? Is it the same William Gilbert, a former Celtic Boys Club player, who allowed Torbet to hide in his house when the police were looking for him and spent holidays with him in Florida and London? The same William Gilbert who's dad was a police sergeant that tragically committed suicide after finding out about his son and Torbett? The same William Gilbert who used to manage one of the Trophy Center shops? Another link to that business?
