Rangers v Progrès Niederkorn - Failure is not an option

Recommended Posts

He put his hands up in the post match interview and admitted as much .

As an aside we look just the same as a Warburton team just with different players .

Taking heart from the fact we still have 4 to come into the starting 11 and a couple more signings still to be done by the sounds of it. Team will hopefully be unrecognisable from that of tonight.

Formation is still missing the two of the mid three getting beyond Kranjcar when he has the ball. Both remain wide leaving the back post empty when the striker attacks the front post. He really needs to get that sorted. Hopefully Pena will hit that space. Just don't get having two wingers with wing backs backing them up all with the plan of getting the ball into the box quick when we have literally nobody attacking the cross.

Nico will take some sore ones. It's a certainty he will be shut down, and if he lasts till christmas we will be doing well.

A shame if we judge players on tonight, players in a new country, new players round about them.

Let's see where we are at the beginning of August.

Result is all that matters in the first game but scoreline is poor and we need the new strikers up and running ASAP.

How did Herrera get on? He was playing according to BBC.

It could be worse, as expected St Johnstone lost at home.

Going against the grain, I'd prefer to focus on the positives. Far more direct than we've been: looked to get forward quickly at evry opportunity. Can see how Pedro's trying to get them playing. I thought Dalcio was ok, at least for the first half. His movement was good, his touch ok. Definite promise. Jack was decent. Keeping Krancjar fit looks important though
