Now we have  a new manager in place what about trying to get the inky fingers on board as well all this negative press we generate and the reporters  generate is not good for the fans or the players  it could  be helpful in the long run,  lets remove the other mob from the back pages that would be a victory of sorts we cant go through life with all this hatred and mistrust  of  each other lets use them for all the positive things at the club  , this is  only the thoughts of an old fan .

We've removed them from most of the front/back pages already this week, which must kill them, given they've just won the league! :D

We can’t get the press on board because they’re mostly timmish.

Actually I don’t want them on board. Sailing alongside observing and reporting accurately is fine provided they’re not firing torpedoes.

Getting them onside is a stretch with some and an impossibility with others but we could box a lot more clever than we do.

Traynor should get  binned IMO, he often makes things worse.

It takes two to tango and the media in Scotland will continue to piss on you even as you cosy up to them for a "fresh start". I think the notion of changing the spots on that particular bheast is futile and no amount of "boxing clever" will change it. Either they change or nothing changes.

Has the ultimate nightmare scenario now descended on BBC PQ with the Gerrard appointment  ?

The English football public will no doubt want regular updates on how one of its favourite sons is getting on in his first managerial role.

And how will BBC PQ will able to provide this unless relations are restored with Rangers?  Should be interesting.

McLaughlin was brought in by the 5Live programme on SG/Rangers to answer questions of English pundits about the appointment.

He forgot to inform them and the listeners that he nor anyone from BBC Scotland were at Ibrox for the press conference.

In England and worldwide everybody will want to watch how SG is doing! they will all be talking about him and Rangers! we don't need the Scottish gutter press!

And the fact nobodies like McLaughlin and English will hate this makes it all the sweeter.
