[FT] Hibernian 5 - 5 Rangers (Tavernier 25, Rossiter 27, Alves 40, Holt 55; Windass 68)

Recommended Posts

Half-time.

A quite incredible game of football.

First five mins was fairly pedestrian then we give away a soft penalty under no pressure and, as usual, capitulate afterwards and go 0-3 down in short order.  Hibs then allow us back into the game by basically having no defence - though all three of our goals came from the kind of passing we could only dream about in the first 20mins.

After that we could easily have been in the lead but I'll settle for a draw for now.

There's something badly wrong with that team psychologically.  We just seem to chuck it during some games, then after we score we seem to take confidence and find our rhythm again.  It's utterly bizarre.

PS: Allan should have been sent off but Goss could have walked for us as well for a second yellow.  I doubt we'll get many favours from Andrew Dallas after the break so I don't expect us to finish the game with XI men.

So, what's actually happening?

Bruno on, for whom? Have we changed shape?

Sean Goss we've gone to a 3-5-2 with Bruno in the centre. Within a couple of minutesof him coming on we get afree kick just outside their box and he whips it up and over the wall and into the net on the keeps right hand. A peach mate.

PPS: Credit to Jimmy Nicholl for going to the three - even after we pulled one back.  Maybe should have happened earlier as our defence (not helped by the midfield) was all over the place.

The ref tried to give the game to Hivs in the first ten minutes, when Hivs fecked that up, the refs plays the let's even it all up card and treat both teams to the same standard. Yes we were pish in the first 25, but when you see refs blatantly cheating, your head does go a bit tbf.
