Rookie boss Stevie G will officially kick-off his Ibrox reign on June 1 in what will be his first job in management. That has led to some critics accusing Gers of taking a huge and unnecessary gamble in their bid to stop Celtic winning ten-in-a-row. But France World Cup legend Zidane knows all too well that Gerrard’s vast experience as a player should help him make the transition into the dugout. Zidane was largely untried after replacing Rafa Benitez in the Bernabeu hotseat in 2016, having only previously bossed Real Madrid’s ‘B’ team Castilla. However, the 45-year-old silenced his snipers and is now on the verge of becoming the first manager to win three Champions League titles in a row. And Zidane insists Liverpool hero Gerrard has all the qualities to be a top coach.
