Morelos appeal successful: reduced to yellow card

Recommended Posts

According to a post on FF. Not on the Rangers website so don't shoot the messenger. It should be appealed to be honest given the action of Mckenna  against what Morelos did.

I see no point in not appealing it.

I agree.  He kicked out - if we're going by the book, it's a sending off.  It shouldn't be (not in this instance).  Common sense should be a factor but we are where we are.

I'd be more inclined to appeal against Goldson's booking.

VIOLENT CONDUCT

Violent conduct is when a player uses or attempts to use excessive force or brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball, or against a team-mate, team official, match official, spectator or any other person, regardless of whether contact is made.

In addition, a player who, when not challenging for the ball, deliberately strikes an opponent or any other person on the head or face with the hand or arm, is guilty of violent conduct unless the force used was negligible.

Was it really excessive force.

You cannot appeal a booking. Or was that sarcasm?
