Over two legs against Maribor we did great.  3-1 against a team with that experience is excellent and then holding them in Slovenia...is ideal.

 

I am delighted we're through and very impressed with how we performed.

FWIW I thought Osijek were a better side than Maribor. And we played better against them, especially away from home

I also thought Osijek were the better team but all the European games have put our name firmly back on the map. Well done the Bears!

Maribor made the CL group stages last season so they're no pushovers. I hope to soon emulate them in that respect. The two ties were all about the result. We went through 3-1 on aggregate. Job done.

Your complaints have borne fruit. Above the Ibrox gates it says, "Rangers" as it does on headed notepaper and on the financial listings. I never hear London Arsenal or even Woolwich Arsenal or Edinburgh Hibernian.

Alania Vladikavkaz 2 - 7 Rangers..................we went there with a 3-1 lead, and yes , players of a quality that we don't have now, but I've seen Ufa, and I think the lads will have more or less put the tie to bed by the time they're boarding the plane to Ufa................I think there are Russian teams, then there are Russian teams.....Ufa are the latter if you know what I'm saying.

We have some Bears putting down our achievement in overcoming Maribor.  Which is bizarre.  It was a great result.

Maribor were nothing special but that was because we contained them very well just as much as them not having the quality to break them down. 

 

Let's give ourselves some credit for a change.
