Please, Miss Compliance Officer,

Killie fans were singing a bad tune just before the winner.

That’s Killie forfeited three points and given to celtic, sure it is.

And Rangers forfeited a point because they started it.

Funny thing is ... it was a complete cock-up by UEFA to "ban" one song and certain add-ons in another, but only for fans of one club!

Well, obviously, UEFA could only "ban" things under their jurisdiction and Killie hardly ever saw any European football since ... about forever it seems. Of course, the "sectarian songbook"-movement thereafter in Scotland hid behind UEFA's broad shoulders and were going after us and our songs; "sectarian" got a new definition in Western Scotland (i.e. including only us, our songs, and anything pro-Protestant and/or anti-Catholic or -"Irish").

Interestingly enough, back then, UEFA were going after "discriminatory" stuff, rather than saying anything about "sectarian" et al. Said movement turned on the screw, culminating in the Offensive Behavior Bill invented by the usual suspect with the sole aim to hammer us into oblivion ... only to see it backfire (every now and then) at the Yahoos themselves. Cries of anguish rose, moons bled blood due to the howling hordes ... and soon those who wanted the bill first and foremost were calling for it to be abolished.

Too bad that real life does not always happens in the way they want it in their own warped universe.

Kilmarnock have had 9 European campaigns and only in one have they been put out at the first hurdle.

In the late 60's they reached the semi-finals of the Fairs Cup (Europa League equivalent).

Let's not shoot ourselves in the foot.

We need to stop singing those songs and add-ons.

Yep, re KilIie I was only referring to the post-2007 era and the "banning" of TBB and FTP add-ons. If they weren't in Europe after that, UEFA would have had no issue with them. Then again, UEFA is an issue for themselves when it comes to dealing out punishments ...

Sometimes if you take a step back and think about just how ridiculous this subject has become, you might well conclude the world has gone utterly mad.

Adults across an allegedly developed society fretting over the words of a football song.

Football governing authorities ruling over supporters' songs.

National governments passing legislation to curb the lyrics of choice in football chants.

Church leaders pontificating over the moral compasses of football fans.

Wtf is going on? Is this really what needs our attention? Are there no more important issues in this world in need of the time and energy wasted on petty shite like this? It's embarrassing just to think about it but it does at least serve as a credible benchmark for the stupidity and pointlessness of much of modern society. The immaturity is staggering. I'm glad I generally manage to rise above it.

The problem with TBB is the F word. Killie's version doesn't mention  it. Nothing for the compliance officer to consider.

Correct but fans of other clubs sing various versions about being "up to their knees" in blood of some sort or other.
