Tomorrow evening's League Cup quarter-final against the Honest Men is an opportunity for Steven Gerrard to lay down part of a big marker. There is a similarity to Souness's first season, league draws and defeats had seen Rangers off the pace. Progress in Europe and in the then Skol Cup had fueled optimism. As I say I’m not watching the game but delighted to hear it. Everything we’ve seen of him So far has been the opposite of raw. He’s been consistently very effective and I hope that sooner rather than later we’ll have him on the left, Candeias on the right and Kent utilised as the impact player. Just hope Liverpool don’t have penalties in place.

You simply can't trust him.

 

For all the good he has done and that includes a hat-trick at Rugby Park, he plays the stupid Hunt and leaves us without a centre-forward for the semi-final.

From what I could see on Rangers TV  he didnt do anything to get booked he's quite entitled to speak to the ref about it.

 I just saw a clip and he gives it the dismissive hand gesture that a ref can take as dissent.

 

He doesn't learn.
