This is a weird one. Sites like Transfermarkt all had his contract expiring in 2024. I wonder if there was some lesser known clause or something that Beale knew of.

Agree but i think Beale was referring to the press not knowing or mentioning.

I've always thought that we need an #8; someone to provide creativity and a goal-threat from deep. 

 

Recently, though, I've been thinking that a 'keeper (a sweeper 'keeper) would really solve a lot of defensive problems, while also helping us play out from the back.
