Or it could be any number of other factors. Good, available, affordable players, who fit in with your system and players ain't just lying about like empty vape canisters.

Would be a great singing if Beale can get him going again. And someone we could sell on at a profit too.

 

Not sure why his career has stalled but still young enough to turn it around.

Beale is supposed to have said that he wants three players, has talked to all three and all are willing to come. We shall see ...

I’m not so sure about that.  Beale himself said at Friday’s press conference that he wanted to sit down with any signings and have a detailed discussion about the role he wanted them to play in the team.  He also said that because of his schedule he only had time to start doing that this week. 
 

Further, he said that he would have the final say on any deal.  So it seems like he has likely made some decisions on who he wants to make offers for, so at that point it’s over to Wilson to negotiate and get the deal done.  
 

Seems like a fairly logical process, albeit like most I’d have been happier had we already got at least one name in at this stage.

I'm giving Beale the benefit of the doubt but it's hard not to be skeptical given how transfer windows have tended to have gone for us over the last few seasons.

Even quoting one name gives others a chance to try to usurp any dealing and also the upping of demands from agents/players so silence on names IS golden.

I'm sure he said he has spoken to 2 or 3 who want to come but wants to "look them in the eye" first. 

 

Cantwell would he a decent signing but think he is more likely to sign a pre-contract and join in the summer
