Old Firm away fan ban for remaining league fixtures

Recommended Posts

It's a shame the clubs can't seem to reach an agreement on an equitable solution for number and placement of away supports at these games.

Yes, some behaviour hardly inspires but the spectacle suffers without both supports present. Scottish football continues to frustrate and hate itself to death.

Is this partly caused by the events at Hampden?

It just seemed like a lot of running away, to me... 🐔

No, it's just Celtic (and Rangers to a lesser degree IMO) playing funny buggers.

Essentially, they want to go back to 8000 supporters which sounds fine on the face of it but clearly their away fans get a whole stand with prime viewing whilst our fans get shoved into a corner with restricted viewing.

Add in the fact we'd have to move season ticket holders to go back to the old system then I don't see much future in big numbers of away fans unfortunately.

This 100%. Its alarming how many of our support dont understand this, nor do they care.

It's also worth noting that whilst the same numbers may sound equitable it's not when their stadium is around 20% bigger than ours.
