Only my opinion, we'll miss Tav when he has gone. I recently watched the highlights of our EL games last season and all our goals during 55 and was amazed in how many Tav was directly involved in.

 

He is no Sandy Jardine of Gary Stevens, but also he is no Jim Denny or Alex Clelland. 

I also watched those games over the last few days. Call it therapy...

 

I totally agree. I'd like to think Tav will up his levels in a more functional and fluid team.

It's same with Alfie. Alfies time is up undoubtedly but I for one will remember him as the striker who bullied European defences for two seasons and scored a barrel-load of goals. 

 

I am still raging at Gio for playing Alfie whilst he was clearly injured and in my humble opinion cost us the EL last season. A fit Morelos and we'd have won.

The scum team are nasty and cheat their way to victory, week in week out.  Tav never comes across as a cheat or nasty.  Rarely see him getting annoyed or committing dirty fouls.  Rarely see him running over when a teammate gets fouled.  

 

I reckon Tav will still be RB when the 2023/24 season kicks off, so it's a pointless conversation.
