Lack of quality again stark right through the team with only one or two players achieving pass marks. Quite simply not good enough and manager equally unimpressive with his choices. Back to square one. Football really does come down the basics at times. Almost every player was giving the ball away, failing to control it, making bad decisions and taking no responsibility. Tactically it was a mess at times too and it's clear certain players just can't hack it. Two games played post-international break with two dreadful performances and results. Did he have a huge impact on the game? Not really. But he got the ball going quickly when he could. He was terrible in the first half - absolutely terrible. He was slightly better after half-time but he did nothing of note either. The lack of inspiration in this side is a real concern. Even Cantwell and Lawrence look well off it and they're two players who clearly have talent. Not sure what he offers. I thought we were signing a dynamic, mobile midfielder, capable of getting around the park and dominating opposition players. What we have is a disinterested passenger who takes 30mins to play himself into the tempo of a game and does next to nothing on the ball except move it side to side. Tav was shocking Everyone will have their own whipping boy but aside from Lundstram, the whole team were very bad. Tav and Lawrence were so bad t's difficult to explain.
