I think Clement is logical and practical.

I don't expect much if anything in the January window. 

Hearts are gonna want at least 3M for Shankland...at least.

I think that is a low ball estimate for a Jan window. 

Rangers ain't payin that.

I think someone like Kevin Van Veen may fit the bill. 

He is long in the tooth, but is a proven scorer who could be grabbed on a year contract for a lot less than Shankland. 

He is struggling with Groningen as opposed to Shankland.

Barisic has been rather steady of late, performance-wise in attack and defence, and IMHO, Ridvan is an able replacement. Not as tall, but more attack-minded.

 

Meanwhile, all quite on the transfer-front, aside from some word from Turkey about Galatasaray's wish to get Ridvan, and the Shankland Instagram furore.

I am assuming Yilmaz is on his way out - not that I want that; I quite like him.

 

Barisic is always steady, but he's not getting any younger. I'd like to see him replaced, although it's not a priority.

I've seen it quoted as a loan to buy offer which i would'nt be interested in. They would need to pony up now so we can invest.

Y’know what, all this transfer speculation seems particularly pointless now that we have a manager who knows what he’s doing. I’m finally content to sit back and watch him work his magic without the usual noise spoiling the show.

Could we get him for under a million? His recent record is crazy. It's something like 55 goals in his last 63 games. And I don't think he takes pens. Regardless of his current level, look at what Hooper did at the Celtic a few years back.
