[FT] Rangers 2 (Dessers 30'; Tavernier 84' pen) - 0 St Johnstone

Recommended Posts

I get it's been a big week for the lads and we're all chuffed atm, but for me it would be complete if we played St Johnstone off the park tonight.

Zip and energy after a cup win instead of a massive come down with slow, turgid football.

We can postpone the comedown until after we lift the league title and take a breather is my view.

Here's hoping eh.

I don't recall McCausland playing on the left for the first team.

If it's a physical game then I'd have thought we'd want to have Sima in there. If we were to rest him, I'd expect Matondo to come in for him rather than switching Wright.

I provided the stats, and they both have played on either flank. I'd keep McCausland where he is right now.

Butland

Tavernier -  Goldson - Souttar - Ridvan

Lundstram - Dowell

McCausland - Lammers -  Sima

Roofe

Subs: McCrorie, Dessers, Cantwell, Matondo, Sterling, Wright, Balogun, Barisic, King.

Time will tell whether it was reasonable to field McCausland in so many games, same with Sima.

Too many IMO.
