Not many better strikes across our history. The power and swerve he found was incredible but he often hit the ball well from free kicks and the like.

 

Can't beat a Bertie-yarder! :)

I was at the Western end of the North stand, so right behind it.  Only two other Hampden strikes rival it, for me: Cooper's free-kick in the '87 Skol Cup Final and Barry Ferguson's free-kick in the Lovenkrands Cup Final.

John Grieg’s against Italy in 65 was a fair o.ld shot .
