[FT] Rangers 3 (Dessers 5', 45+5'; Souttar 90+2') - 1 Ross County

HT thoughts...

Best we've been at Ibrox all season for me, we've absolutely battered County that half.

2.64 xG that half confirms it, a clinical side would've scored 3 or 4.

More of the same second half and we could still go top, but make sure of the win lads!

Been a weird 1st half - looked like we were gonna blow Ross County away, scored early and then battered them. Lost a goal and lost our way big style. Then a goal out of nothing at the end of injury time.

Need to start 2nd half like we started the 1st and convert some chanced.

Just now, Bill said:

We have played well but we continue to be frustratingly toothless in front of goal.

Agreed. However we have been so unlucky with desperate blocks, especially the one on the line! their keeper has also made a few good saves, we have hit the bar and post, but ultimately you are correct, that has been our main problem for a while now!. Still, I fancy another couple of goals this half.

21-3 shots at goal, 10-1 on target. The rot in terms of chance-conversion continues, even though luck is with the Stags tonight.

Typical Tavernier game. Two perfect crosses, one decent shot, but then fills spaces that should be used by attackers.  Maybe he just stays near the HW-line and doesn't occupy spaces near the box where we seem to have too many players, and they hinder one another.

We'll probably score four or five more, but sometimes you wonder ...
