This fact ensures that nothing will improve for us in a hurry.

Thats the conundrum - we can all (well most of us) see that referees / VAR are missing vital decisions that are costing us points.

Whether we highlight / quesrion these decisions or not, years of dignified silence from us and pressure from them and outside forces (media) has led referees becoming almost untouchable and immune to being questioned

You're awfully argumentative, Cammy.

It's a red.  The refs are crap.  VAR is crap.  It's been a disappointing day, football wise.

I'm argumentative as it's a subject thats worth arguing / discussing, it's pivotal to us winning the league or not.

Yesterday's VAR decision on the McCausland challenge is beyond ambiguity. The videos and the still clearly show that under the rules of the game, the ONLY outcome is a red card. Somehow, given this evidence, whoever was on VAR decided to ignore the evidence and stick with the onfield decision. What do you call it when an official refuses to enforce the rules or the game?

Let's look at another star - 8 our of our last 9 penalties have been missed by the on-field officials and been awarded via VAR. That's almost 90% incorrect decisions from the on-field officials. Are you saying our referees as so bad that they get 90% decisions of our penalty decisions wrong? Or, is there another reason? If you and your team at work were to make errors 90% of the time, would yous not be questioned or in reality, sacked?

You conveniently keep ignoring the Hugh Dallas admission, but it's crucial to this discussion / argument. Hugh Dallas admitted to not applying the laws of the game to our decrement, as he feared a "riot". Now it's unclear if he means in the stands, from the media, or from his bosses, but the admission still stands. So if one referee, for whatever reason has admitted to not applying the laws of the game, how many others have done the same?

I said at the start of this reply that it's crucial we quesrion these as it'll impact our ability to win pints and possibly the title. That would mean we lose out on £50M.

Are you suggesting that £50M isn't worth arguing about, or question referees and VAR when the make clear and obvious errors?

It's not yahooesque to do so, it's common bloody sense

Ach, okay - they're all out to get us.

That's not what I said at all and you know it.

The underlying question is why are referees "frightened" to give us on-field decisions? 90% incorrect calls for last 9 penalties. These are indisputable facts, not theories.

Also, who was Hugh Dallas scared off? Who would have caused a riot if he had applied the rules of the game, which he is paid to do? Again, Dallas has admitted this, so no conspiracy theories, more indisputable evidence.

If you are OK being blasé about £50M then more fool you.

Well, some of the decisions are disputable, hence this tiresome debate.

For some reason the world seemed a little more flat and grey this morning. It got worse finding @CammyF was still giving it the full demented "everyone else is an idiot" pitch. Can't we just give him the King Of Everything gold medal and have done with it?

I'm pessimistic at the best of times. I always envisage us dropping points away from home.

But to lose - not even draw, but lose - against Motherwell, at home, is gutting.

You only need to go back to the last OF game at CP to see nick Walsh unwilling to send off Alistair Johnston for persistent fouling after he was already on a yellow.

I think yesterday showed the injury list is having a significant impact on our performances.   In particular, Cortes has been a bit of a recent sensation and was missed.
