I see what your saying Craig is sounds like tapping. But i think tapping is only when the club speak to the player without the clubs permission.

PLG could easy come out and say he'd love Wayne Rooney at Ibrox but doesnt mean he is going to take him.

Its a thing that the spainards are bad for and shows a bit of disrespect.

I agree Gribz but what I think you are missing is that Madrid are saying they have spoken to the players and they want to come - that is far different from saying you would love a player at the club.

Don't know why it bothers me so much TBH - but the only defence I can come to is that at the time he would have spoken to the players he had nothing to do with Madrid, he was merely a candidate

Pot. Kettle. Black.

So, apparently Chelsea will be asking FIFA to investigate illegal approaches made to Arjen Robben by Real Madrid. Ramon Calderon hasnt exactly been subtle about the fact that he and his team have been in contact with Kaka, Cesc Fabregas and Robben prior to the elections and supposedly obtained agreements from all three to join the Spanish club if a fee can be agreed.

Chief Executive Peter Kenyon said, ââ?¬Å?Moreover, we note that Mr Calderon confirms that Real Madrid have spoken to Arjen. As a result of these various comments Chelsea will be writing to Fifa to ask them to investigate an illegal approach for our player by Real Madrid.ââ?¬Â

Weve had a tendency to take frequent shots at Chelsea recently, but they just make it so easy. The club is obviously well within their right to complain that Real Madrid are tapping their players up, but given that they were recently fined for doing exactly the same with Ashley Cole - its a little hard to sympathize. In fact, the main difference is that Real have admirably been open about their contact with other clubs players rather than opting for secret meetings at hotels.

Just found this Gribz. Hard to disagree I guess

I don't think Chelsea will win that case Jon - even though I thought it was tapping.

Calderon can use a simple defence in that he can say that when he initially spoke to the players he had no OFFICIAL ties to Madrid, so how can Madrid be guilty when the events took place whilst Calderon wasn't an official ??

Will be interesting to see what FIFA (or UEFA) do about it
