Rangers takeover confirmed

I think the takeover is a positive thing.

However, it's difficult to get excited about football any more.  May be an age thing but the sport itself isn't what it used to be.  Too much falling over and tactics and not enough personality.

Nothing to beat a wee bandy legged winger crossing for bullet headed centre forward

And there's too much football tbh.

I can understand some peoples apprehension but something like this had to happen. We couldn’t continue as we’ve been doing the past 10 years posting huge annual losses and plugging them with directors loans.
What I’m looking for from the US consortium most of all is better corporate governance. Get that part right and we’ll be in better shape than we’ve ever been

We were at a stage where we had to twist. Sticking was no longer an option. At least the new incumbents are somewhat "known" as they've invested in Leeds so there is some tangible to look at and compare o what to expect.

If we had continued with the old board, we would've been looking at a trophy every three or four years.

Change had to happen for Rangers to get back to winning league titles regularly.

If we had continued with the old board, I genuinely think we would've been looking at another financial event and in the mud.

Thank god they seen sense and sold up.

If it’s only £20 million being put in I imagine this will have an effect on any new manager some managers want to spend spend spend so I think the new manager will be someone from nearer home maybe the bloke who was at Southampton

This!

Everything is a risk, but the takeover appears to be the best option, as we stand here today. Surely it has to be better than the status quo.
