He would have been sacked if he didn't win that playoff. 40 million wage budget he had, 2nd highest in the league. Still finished 2 places below Ipswich who had x4 less budget. They also shipped 63 goals. None of this can be sugar coated. We know what happened once they got promotion too. More woefulness There are a few more. My campaign was relentless.

Gerrard ruled himself out and the coach who's never been a coach demaned to much input. The sustainable model they are looking for means the coach is simply a coach, with a structure around them to manage signings and budgets. It may work, it may not but they (we) have to start somewhere.

Please show me your logic behind saying he isn't a failure. I at least gave my reasons.
blueflag 421 Posted yesterday at 07:17 Share Posted yesterday at 07:17 The guy has never even even got a sniff of any European football in his amazing career. He is a managerial failure. He was lucky to not be sacked the one year he got promotion. Delayed the inevitable until he won 1 in 16. Come on. It's a terrible appointment and you are allowed to admit it

He plays a style similar to Rodgers which has proven very successful in Scotland. He plays with 2 forward / wide full backs like SG did, which proved somewhat successful. The men who chose him have vast sporting and football knowledge (unlike previous boards). He's been signed to simply coach, not run the entire footballing structure. It's now over to the recruitment team to get him (us) the players we need Edited yesterday at 07:25 by CammyF
Popular Post Frankie 9,003 Posted yesterday at 07:23 Popular Post Share Posted yesterday at 07:23 Like many I'm uncertain about this but it's also fair to say the process will have been a sound one and the same concerns we have will have been asked and answered in detail. As such, it's now time to welcome Russell and get behind him in what remains a very difficult task.
