I got told the new manager is still with a club hence why not being announced. No idea who it is though I'm like you mate I just want it announced. We are not the most patient bunch and that includes me

But its looking obvious it will be made once the takeover is 100% as Id imagine they would have the final say therefore if the deal went balls up in anyway the appointed man could perhaps not be the choice of the current board and that would be a complete PR disaster. Im guessing they want the season out of the way also.

Lets get behind him The Rangers Review said it's going to be someone without any previous Rangers connection, so it seems that it's not going to be Gerrard.

And it's not either/or. Agreed but Martin's Southampton only had one way.

Thelwell being the example in that he is the 49ers choice, yet he's been announced before the takeover. From all the stuff i've heard, the work is going on in the background, with new owners and Thelwell included. The one thing that is for sure is that the media seem to have no idea whats going on and while thats not great for us as fans, bigger picture, its good

I think they have had enough time to sort it out and the new manager will need enough time to get everything in place for the new season. We need a new manager regardless of who owns the club and the director of football is already in place to sign it off. Not ITK, just a hunch. No idea who it will be.

I mentioned before how they built-up with a back-four, back-three, a single pivot, double pivot, inverted a fullback or two at times, etc. depending on the opposition. The truth is they didn't have the quality to stay up no matter how they played. It was actually remarkable that they got promoted in the first place, because it wasn't even the best squad in the Championship. If your preference is not to go with a possession-based manager, fair enough - that's your prerogative. There will always be question marks around any new appointment, but I just don't see 'inflexibility' in the PL as being a sufficient reason. Most managers now are inflexible when it comes to their principles, whether it's Guardiola, Klopp or Dyche's Brexit Ball; They won't deviate from those principles. Within that, they will tweak and adapt - and this is true for Martin.

Devil's advocaat 1,869 Posted Sunday at 08:30 Share Posted Sunday at 08:30 To be honest, I'd take Martin over every other British name mentioned. And FWIW, I think we'll go with a coach from these islands.

(That doesn't mean I'd take him over Klopp, but he hasn't been mentioned.)
