As for Dave King, for all the good he has done he has shown that he can't be trusted and sometimes isn't as clever as he thinks he is (eg. v Ashley/SD). Dave King, despite what some Rangers fans say and think, is close to the discussions and will know where the process stands. Also, it's been widely reported in fan media that the conclusion date is end of May / start of June. We haven't reached the end of May yet, still a week to go, and as someone once said, a week is a long time in football.
MacK1950 2,478 Posted yesterday at 15:06 Share Posted yesterday at 15:06 Could it be that nobody is actually interested in the bloody job?
Gonzo79 15,416 Posted yesterday at 15:15 Share Posted yesterday at 15:15 As always, a lot will depend on what other jobs are available to the men we're after. If all goes to plan with the takeover, you'd imagine Rangers would be quite an appealing option for an up and coming manager.

In my opinion this could be a factor, after all we have sacked two managers who have won silverware and had great runs in europe. It cannot be an attractive propisition to come and work in Scotland with a board/support with no patience for the constant rebuilds. Managers from other leagues may also be aware of the men in black playing for the other lot too.

Gonzo79 15,416
Betting suspended. Kind of looks like it's going to be Ancelotti.

L72 369
We were told categorically that it wouldn't be someone that's been here before tbh, not sure why everyone kept lumping Gerrard on at the bookies. Seems to have been bookies driven that rumour more than any and Ancelotti has been the main target all along. Glad tbh. A fresh approach makes sense, also keeps everyone relatively on side. There was good and bad to Gerrard, ultimately we need better though.
