Are these really the best we can expect ?

Unless any of us can locate a crystal ball or are the new owners, you won't be getting a definitive answer to that until the window closes.  Even then, it's probably too early to judge who is 'best'.

I reckon outgoings will fund some heftier transfers in the next few weeks.

I like the idea of Coady in the centre of a back-three, but I'm not so keen on him playing in a back-four.

I honestly think he'd be a terrible signing. Paying a fee for a 32-year-old centre back, probably on a biggish wage, who is slowing down and who’s defensive stats are absolutely woeful isn’t something I can ever get behind. Its more important than ever to have physically dominant centre backs with how small and weak we are now in almost every other position. Almost every signing in the past couple of years has been very weak in the air, and it cost us repeatedly last season like I predicted at the beginning of the season.

Nine games for Arrons last season. If we keep Ridvan that’s probably eighteen matches covered. We still need another.

I like the prospect of Coady. I think he knows the defending trade.

Coady reminds me of a younger LB

Which is why I think he'd be OK in the middle of a back-three, so we can use, and cover for, his age.

His passing numbers are very good ... in the Championship. :D
