RANGERS are enjoying a fantastic season that promises to be one of the best ever and there have been some top performances from a number of players.

Now the key protagonists are set to be honoured at the 2008 Rangers Player of the Year Awards Dinner on May 19.

As usual there will be five categories - Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year, Players' Player of the Year, Goal of the Season and the John Greig Achievement Award.

From now you can vote for Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year and the nominations are:

Player of the Year

Kris Boyd

Carlos Cuellar

Allan McGregor

Barry Ferguson

Sasa Papac

David Weir

Young Player of the Year

Isa Bagci

Giorgos Efrem

Carlos and Fleck, I'm guessing.

anyone know if the JG award is annual? and if so who has won it before? Surely it should go to someone like Walter Smith for turning the club around and giving us at least our first euro semi-final (proper) since 72! either him or 6 for his record appearances in europe for a scot!

Carlos is a shoe in for me, seconded by MacGregor...

YPOTY is hard to call as I haven't been watching the reserves... but going by the game time given to those youngsters given by Smith, surely it must be Fleck.

Carlos is the top man.

McGregor and Weir are next up, plus Papac has been a big asset this season. Also Alan Hutton's performances in the first half of the season were outstanding.
