The Official Rangers Website

Recommended Posts

No one can claim the right to exclusive wisdom in the matter of Rangers and the recent crises have thrown up proponents of both sides of the various debates. Why is it then that only one side of any arguement has EVER appeared on the official website .......... over a period of many years. With the newspapers and television openly publicising the criticism of Murray, how is it that no one of these malcontents ever chooses to voice their opinions on the Rangers website. Or could the club be suffering from paranoid denial.

Or is it just plain old pathetic.

A bit of both IMO...

All the RFC publications are the same and they'd be all the better if they not only offered opposing viewpoints but challenged them.

We saw clearly enough in Murray's snapping petulance yesterday all that's needed to explain why Rangers is no longer interested in honest debate with its supporters.

Elitism pervades our club, which is why so many feel excluded and ignored - why fans can be treated like dirt at Ibrox and the club cannot see what the problem is. It's why the views of ordinary fans can never be entertained. It's why Sandy Jardine felt he could lie like a skunk about the Bobby Shearer tribute and then ignore the outrage when he got caught. It's why Rock Steady get away with overt victimisation of Rangers fans without anything ever being said.

This club is sick from top to bottom. It goes a lot deeper than the playing staff. The people still trying to protect the Murray regime really need to get their eyes open and see what's happening - because the club isn't going to do it for them.

Genuine question.... do other clubs allow differing points of view on their official websites ?

Not saying that we need to follow the crowd but I would actually be quite surprised if any official website entertain discenters.

It's a soering question and something to be explored. However, our official site is beyond the pale in its fawning falseness.

I do despise our website.

For example, on the squad profiles page it still has Cuellar listed as an active player wearing number 4 whereas Mendes is down the bottom as number 30 even though he clearly wore 4 today.

Guest Arnold

The official site hit a low when after the anti-Murray protest a couple of years ago it ran a story about how a small group chanting against the chairman was broken up by "real Rangers fan", those "real Rangers fans" being thugs and neds singing TBB and wanting to cause a fight.

Agreed. I wrote off to Bain to complain about it.
