RANGERS' Homecoming Scottish Cup fifth round clash with Forfar Athletic will take place tomorrow lunchtime as planned.

Homecoming Scottish CupThe Loons' Station Park ground has been hit by the cold weather that has engulfed much of Britain over the last few days.

But with covers protecting the surface from the elements, it is in perfect condition and passed an inspection at 11.30am this morning.

Match referee Eddie Smith is staying in the Angus area this evening and can be called upon quickly ahead of kick-off if necessary.

But no further inspections are planned at this stage and the game is poised to start at 12.15pm tomorrow as scheduled.

Supporters going to the match should leave the A90 at its junction with the A926 which will be signposted for `Football Traffic`.

On entering Forfar, further signs will direct you to the bus and car parking areas via Brechin Road and Market Street.

All parking is free but only a limited amount of car parking spaces will be available, with all other car parking being on street.

The police have warned that any vehicle causing an obstruction will be removed at the driver's expense.Forfar manager Dick Campbell

The police will be proactive in addressing all manner of football-related activity, with particular emphasis being placed on the detection of persons behaving in a sectarian or racist manner.

Tayside Police have also intimated that as part of their football operations, they routinely use cameras for evidence gathering purposes.

It is against the law to carry alcohol on a bus or minibus en route to or from a designated sporting event.

A capacity crowd is expected and it is anticipated that slow turnstile throughput will hinder quick entry into the stadium.

The turnstiles for Rangers supporters are on the north-west side of the stadium and fans are STRONGLY ADVISED to make their way to the turnstiles on arrival in Forfar

I thought there was another inspection planned for tomorrow 8.30am?

I thought it's been given the go-ahead for the moment but there will be another inspection tomorrow morning and the ref is staying locally so he can get to the ground at short notice....
