The SFA are looking at taking action against John Brown for comments he made on Saturday if he’s not employed in football then I’d say to them fuck you and I doubt if it would be legal for them to try and impose any punishment to kick in if he returned to football.
-
Who in their right mind would want MrFarioli after he presided over a shambles in the Dutch league when his team only needed six points from five games in my book he’s a dud
-
He ran our wage bill up sky high and didn't want to sell players when the time is right. I don't think he is a fit for where the club wants to go unless he changes.
-
The Gerrard rumours appear to be picking up speed again, in the usual places. Got to say, I'll be disappointed if we bring him back. He left us pretty sharpish last time, failed at Villa, had an uneventful spell in the back of beyond and I think we can do better. I like winning cups too.

Would be irresponsible if we didn't at least enquire about his interest

...who still, mirabile dictu, exists, will probe the perspicacious comments on officials, of Mr John Brown, during Rangers TV coverage of the match at Easter Road. Fortunately for Mr Brown, there are more than a few like cases , involving pederastyfootballclub, which were ignored, dismissed out of hand, or otherwise disposed of in a manner acceptable to that organisation. Precedents are set, but I am not holding my breath.

Tbf all the pieces are in place, I'd imagine it's more a case of waiting on existing shareholders finalising sales etc.
-
I would have thought the new lads would have wanted this deal done and dusted so they can put their new manager in place as soon as possible they will soon be looking at European qualifying games and we don't want to get left in the traps.
-
We don't even know who the new manager is, so I don't think anyone's position is 'secure'. If we start next season with Dessers up front, I'll be annoyed. Two seasons is two too many having to watch him.

Teams still playing for that European spot plus the playoffs that will do me just need to get some nice biscuits to dip in the ☕

The Rangers Summer 2025 Transfer Rumours and Deals - Thread

Are folk still going on about Shankland? -
I'd say his position is secure as he's the only one who's getting the goals unless we unearth the next Sam English .
-
I didn't realise it was the Dessers thread. It was more of a general comment based on SBG's post. I wouldn't sell him for 500k, either. That's just silly.
-
And I don't think we can be "financially sustainable" by selling the SPL top scorer for £500K.
-
We can if we are in the CL every year IMO. But yes, overall point is to sell players for more than we buy in general, agree.
-
I don't think we can be 'financially sustainable' without selling regularly.

The Rangers Summer 2025 Transfer Rumours and Deals - Thread

No doubt about that. IMHO, we had two good creative people in Cantwell and Hagi, able to split and/or unlock defences, as well as providing goals. Lawrence and Raskin can do that too, but (IMHO) lack the creative spark against tight defences. As soon as teams open up or actually want to play football, they are fine too. So, I just noted that Cameron will come up against a different setup while playing for us. Regarding Shankland, and right-winger Boyle (for a reasonable fee, one year left on his contract - 44 games, 20 goals, 11 assists), I'd take them both too. Our front line is far too thin, and we do need some powerhouses as well. Vardy ... IMHO, we SHOULD have kept Defoe, despite his age. He looked class and scored brilliant goals. I have not seen much of Vardy for the last 5 years, so can't really comment. -
Maybe next season if used right Barron, Raskin and Lyall Cameron might form a solid midfield. 🤞 great things will come our way next season with the added addition of a new number 9 and a few new additions.

'Italian teams cannot cope with modern football’s intensity'

Nevermind that, in it's inception it was won by a guy that scored two (count it, 2) goals 😂 -
Reminds me of Alex McDonald a midfield workhorse who will get better

There is a very simple approach to matters like these with Dessers, Raskin, Igamane etc If you are a good competitive team, winning things, breaking even financially with a sustainable wage bill. Sell older guys on big wages if you can. With anyone else there is no real need to sell unless a player is desperate to leave. If you are rubbish, and have just had one of the worst seasons for years. Sell older guys on big wages as a matter of urgency. Sell guys running down contracts for as much as possible as a matter or urgency. Sell promising young players on low wages, with a good few years left for as much as you can get, then reinvest.

Rangers announce Barry Ferguson departure

Maybe this is the powers that be playing 4D chess. Its all part of the genius masterplan of the board (which one, no idea) to condition us and the rest of the league to such poor performances at the end of the season that when we start next season, they just won't be able to handle how good we are. We've already won 56 chaps, lets go! -
If anybody is actually interested in buying him then we must accept immediately. Even if it is only five hundred thousand pounds we must sell and reinvest. Apart from being rubbish Dessers is about to put his feet up for a couple of years.
