🤔 While initially they had the clubs best interests at heart and restored some sort of standards and order, in the end they became the very thing they chased out. Making decisions that benefited themselves along the way, legacy projects for directors and board members in flinging everything at NEH, a building that isn't even big enough to host our AGMs. The football department was ignored, and at times completely decimated during their tenure, the only one good appointment would have to be Gerrard, and initially Warburton for actually getting the club back into the Premiership, other than that there isn't much to write home about. Other than the club being so eroded to the point we needed sold to save it...

I was simply calling it out for what it was.if you sell Arsenal shares or simply sell trophy’s that belong to our club there isn’t another word you can use apart from Spiv’s Sure Rat is below the belt but it’s still the lowest of the low. Wasn’t too long ago that fans were moaning in the way our shareholders were just taking profits before reinvesting. Sure these Spiv’s have been removed and we are looking in one direction for the future of our club!

Some way to refer to the men who stepped up and helped get the club back from the likes of Whyte and Ashley. "lurked about wanting to erode as much of our club as possible" - that is utter horseshit.

Yes Rats is a strong word 🤣 I do apologise the Spiv’s as L72 mentioned is more suited. I was simply referring to the ones who lurked about wanting to erode as much of our club as possible be it financial bad decisions etc.

No chance. -
Clark held the keys to the gate. Not a big bloke and not fast but he didn’t need to be either. His positional sense and his knowledge of when to make the tackle were more than enough.

Might be the new manager thinks he only needs one or two signings and he can mound the present lot into a team that can compete for honours. -
Great player one of the old school who could read the game always took up a covering position when big McNeil went forward for a corner aye a good solid professional.

I hope they recruit strongly so its not as much of a factor as people expect. We need to get away from this manager is a silver bullet to all our problems mindset as a support.
-
We'll just have to wait and see. I was initially taken by surprise that he was even in contention, then I accepted it. I'm now back on the WTF side though - just not getting the appointment at all.
-
If you are referring to Martin, I think it'll work out for the best. The players will like him, he has a style of play and as long as he gets the right recruitments in, one who can be motivated to beat the Hibs, St Mirrens and Motherwells, then I have high hopes. One things for sure, it's either going to be a stroke of genius or complete insanity.

History tells us not to go 'bawdeep' when the new owners come in. I remember the gushing eulogies for Whyte on here and FF, then Green (maybe not on here) et al. I'm actually a bit disappointed that real Rangers men couldn't get us closer to Celtic, though I still dont think we are that far away. They went all-in to stop them winning 10IAR, then couldn't "fix the roof" because the covid bolox meant we had missed out on a lot of gate money etc. Good luck to the new guys though, hopefully the expertise that Marathe spoke of can deliver for our long suffering fan base, particularly the kids who have never seen Rangers win a title at Ibrox. My son is going to be 20 this year, and he has never seen Rangers win a title at Ibrox, despite him having a season ticket since 2015! When I was his age, I'd just watched us win title after title during the 90s.

My old man attended today's EGM and had a brief chat with a former Director, who referred to the new owners as the 'real deal' I think that they probably are. Still unsure about their first big decision though.
-
Rats is strong imo, spivs is right.
-
Rats? FFS! That's a bit strong .Yes, do tell us their names.
-
I had many misgivings about the outgoing board but I wouldn’t refer to them as rats. I do think they were maybe à bit out of their depth at times and their decision making often poor
-
I beg your pardon? Who are the "Rats" you're referring to?

WS let them all leave during his second spell as Rangers manager. -
Curiosity have we ever had any kind of promises before and been an epic fail in the end? I’m curious to know of past failures apart from the obvious ones in the 90’s/00’s. Also what promises worked and didn’t work that may be implemented going forward in today’s word, So far the new owners have promised us a long term plan and 🤞 they are true to their word. They have also defended us in the latest VAR scandal which we haven’t had in a long time. I’m optimistic about them saying they are bringing stability to the club and going about trying to make us a fortress again. They have got rid of the Rats let’s see what damage is done and hopefully transparency is the key then we know what’s coming our way in the future for our club. NS 🔴⚪️🔵

Not wanting to be a Debbie downer, but much of what they say is just simple common sense. Maybe its refreshing because we haven't had much of that recently.

I like that they're going to focus on the squad before stadium upgrades. We need to start winning trophies regularly again.
