I think Raith is a decent pick. They are usually one of the top sides in the Championship. -

https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/sport/25170617.rangers-explore-co-operation-deal-championship-club/ "It's claimed the Ibrox club could strike a deal to link up with the Kirkcaldy side under a new Scottish FA initiative. The proposal for the 'Cooperation System' was passed back in February meaning changes to the rules for players to move on loan from next season. As part of the new system, players will be allowed to move freely between their parent club and a co-operative club throughout the season." - Today

With the reintroduction of a loan system this will be an important step in getting the most out of it. I'll wait for any official news, however. -

What have you got against Raith? The jumped up chairman whose name I’ve forgotten and the weird book writer? The principle is ok. Have you a more suitable club in mind? It would have to be one with no immediate chance of promotion to the Premiership. Airdrie? -
Believe me Howard popped more than a few corks when alive he had a wee liking for a drink anyway a player had to go up stairs to the office to get a telling off Howard had started early that morning forgot why he’d sent for the player and both of them finished the bottle 😂

You’re correct but the present board along with plenty of previous board members have to be held to account for our dismissal fall from being a good team/club to a bunch of also rans Rangers fans used to love telling others we had won more leagues cups etc that’s now history look at the record for the last quarter of a century honours are few and far between but yes I’d like a true Rangers connection on any new board John Greig is to old now and I know he’s not been in the best of health recently I would invite Archie Knox an old football head who knows how the game works .

Raith Rovers of all people , absolutely bizarre but not in the least bit surprising. -
Toffeemen 2-0 up at halftime. From the Telegraph: So, after 133 years it’s finally time to say goodbye to Goodison Park. Farewell, then, to St Luke’s and Old Ma Bushell’s Toffee House, farewell to Johnny Todd, Bullens Road, Walton Lane, Goodison Road and Gwladys Street, farewell to the field where bullocking Dixie frolicked, Duncan McKenzie dazzled, the Golden Vision gilded, Brian Labone strained every sinew, Big Dunc battled, the Holy Trinity were worshipped, where Tommy Lawton scored 70 goals before his 20th birthday and Wayne Rooney shook up the world at 17. It’s a world of royal blue, the Mersey Millionaires, Bob Latchford and his five grand cheque, of eternal questions such as ‘what the hell is Hafnia?’, Le Coq Sportif and white bibs, Big Andy and Inchy, Sharpie and Sheeds, Reidy and Brace, Stevens and Steven, the Rat and Degsy, Bails and Psycho Pat, Rico, Harpo and the imperishable Nev. It’s the popping of corks in Howard’s office, stern Harry, Eusebio, the Black Pearl, going berserk at 3-0 down to North Korea and banging in four, Haller and Beckenbauer in a World Cup semi, where two teams in black and white stripes won FA Cup finals. Football clubs have moved stadiums without a backward look before and both Middlesbrough and Sunderland have had some glorious moments in their years away from Ayresome Park and Roker Park. Football clubs are more than lumps of ground, they are confederations of memory, tradition, of the hopes and emotions of millions of people over more than a century who have carried them in their hearts. That will not change away from Goodison but something will be lost because it has been, since the moment Archibald Leitch laid down his T-square, the perfect football stadium with a unique atmosphere. Those who mourn its passing are not Luddites or romantic simpletons out of tune with a hard-nosed corporate league rapidly colonised by plutocrats. They know its time has come but hope it can be given the send-off it deserves.

Title decider at Ibrox, as our women entertain leaders Hibs. A win will hand us the title. HT 0-0 - Livetext on X or BBC Going by the comments, the ref is as inept as yesterday, as he should have sent off a Hibs player on a yellow for two nasty fouls after that ...

Rangers are exploring a cooperation agreement with Raith Rovers. The Ibrox side are looking at a number of lower league clubs to go into partnership with from next season. A deal with the Fife club is now on the cards. The move is part of the radical, new plans brought in by the Scottish Football Association and the Scottish Professional Football League to allow more opportunities for the country’s young players to get top level exposure. Any club can go into a cooperation agreement with one team from each other division. It would allow them to put out a number of loan players per season but they can go back and forth between the clubs as many times as they like, in and outside of the transfer windows. Rangers have already dismantled the majority of their B team and are looking at a number of cooperation plans for next season. They believe a tie up with Raith Rovers would be beneficial for both sides. Rangers would get their young players exposure at a good level and Rovers boss Barry Robson would bolster his promotion-chasing squad at a vastly reduced cost. The Ibrox side could also select a team in League One and League Two. The SFA have also increased the academy age to Under-19 from the next campaign. Snatched from FF

To dismiss having someone with emotional ties to the club, on the board when a venture capitalist is taking control would, IMO, be stupid.

Never! 😂 Each to their own, I'd actually encourage more threads, as long as people are using them and talking in them. Threads go days without interaction, dare start a new one to talk about something though, and oh no don't want that here. It's like people enjoy that nothing gets posted much on here.

Contrariness, merely for the sake of it, does you no favours. -
Indeed. I just hoped people would do the maths on their own, i.e. 10 % being 860m etc.

I'm sticking to it: it's not conclusive. -
You could be right because Raskin will most probably get a move to a better league. Whilst Barron will do a decent job in the Scottish game, but I have my doubts that he will go further.
-
Perhaps a joint venture? Scott gets everything right and you know a lot about turf accounting. Ask the 49ers for 1M pounds of seed capital and tell them you'll multiply it 20 fold and its all for the warchest, less the cost of some biscuits for you and Scott.

Aye let's keep the forum to prediction leagues and numerous other shite no one gives a toss about. Christ man no wonder this place is dead. Any time anyone posts something outside of the norm, people are like ooh we don't talk about that here, ooh that's not for here really that's for X, well what is for here?! Honestly most threads are barely posted in, even match threads are dead as fuck, got people posting "Poll 2 electric boogaloo" utterly daft crap, but we can't talk about rivals or anything. Stick it lads.

Raskin was okay but it’s the Barron for me woks away in the middle like a proper Rangers player true captain material.
