  1. If they rely too heavily on Brown they are fucked. Even moreso when they play us if we maintain the high press, because the only way Brown looks like a half decent player is when he is allowed time and space to make his 5-10 yard sideways and backwards passes. High press like we did at Ibrox in December and he actually looks like a pub player. They surely cant only be looking for a RB and expecting the same end result as last season ?
  2. johnnyk could confirm as he knows the family....
  3. Kieran Tierney apparently
  4. The memorial garden may also cost next to nothing - you are projecting.
  5. The £45 mill you just got for Haller should suffice
  6. Very much depends. His first refusal is dependent on him offering the same terms as any other bidder (I believe). Easy enough to get around. Create a company from wealthy supporters, have them capitalize said company, make said company a sports distribution company, offer a ton of money to act as distributor, show Ashley the offer, have him refuse to match the price (because it’s too exorbitant), contract goes to other, friendly bidder, bidders give RFC the funds (which could have went into RFC anyway as capital) and the cycle with Ashley is broken. All the above is hypothetical..... and I’m probably missing something but I don’t see why it couldn’t be done.
  7. Agreed. people talk as if legal disagreements are “black and white” and there can only be one correct viewpoint. People are tending to ignore that the current Board inherited the carnage of these contracts from their useless predecessors. Trying to unwind these one-sided, highly restrictive contracts was always going to be extremely difficult, no matter who the Board were and no matter who the legal team was. The Board took action which they hoped would break stalemates and try to come to resolution.... it didn’t happen but a) it wasn’t for the lack of trying and b) it wasn’t their fault the Club were bound into these ridiculously one sided contracts. Some just want to ignore the good that the Board have done and focus on the negative..... the appointment of Mark Allen very much seems to be paying dividends... after the fiasco of Caixinha it appears the club have made a very shrewd appointment in Gerrard, they have provided funds for acquisitions, there have been renovations at ibrox, HTC has been given an upgrade, the Academy teams seem to be “best in class in country”, we have playing staff who can actually be sold for a change rather than paid off, leaks to the press seem to have been quashed..... There are many, many more positives around the club right now - to focus on one of the few negatives seems churlish to me and, worse, it is one whereby the current Board were hamstrung to it since the day they took over.
  8. Wait till we win 55.....
  9. Thought this was a transfer rumours thread.... apparently not, apparently it is a formations thread....
  10. We were lucky last season and on multiple occasions we got very favorable draws. chances of that happening again are slim !
  11. Ojo doesn’t play on our left hand side
  12. For me, right now, a space MUST be found for Davis. Yesterday it was abundantly clear what a fully fit, proper pre-season, Steven Davis can provide to us - was everywhere and created angles and spaces the whole time he was on the pitch. Thought he was outstanding yesterday.
  13. Merely "back three" is what he said.
  14. I don't need an Oracle. I know Academy staff who are close to the lad - Steven Gerrard being manager would not have made the difference. He was struggling with the decision because the whole family are bluenoses... but the money Chelsea offered was far, far too much for a 16 yr old to reject.
  15. He should be in pre-season with his current employers so he shouldn't be that far off
  16. No, he wouldn't.
  17. Can you post the link to the online Gers store coop ?
  18. My kid has trained with Cammy with Kevin Thomson and says he is a genuinely good kid. When he showed up he introduced himself to everyone and shook their hands and tried to help them too.
  19. If it's being guarded THAT closely one would have to think that it could be the "marquee" signing that we've been told we would get. Wishful thinking probably.
  20. It was a second division Rangers team too. Had we been in the premier league and they were too, would you have said “we got beat by a premier league team” ?? Of course not.
  21. We were in the second division at the same time as well, so no need to try to paint as losing to lower league opposition.....
  22. I've seen the documentary mate, thoroughly enjoyable watch. Highly recommend the book (he has two biographies, I am reading the first one right now) - obviously I cant speak to him as a manager but what absolutely shines through the guy is his winning mentality - I read a fair number of biographies and his determination to succeed is as elevated as almost any book I have read. Comes across as being someone that would elbow his kid out the way to prevent the kid from winning
  23. Literally just finished reading it last night, in his own words, in his first autobiography. The very two chapters where he discusses it in detail.
