Seems Maloney is out of the OF game - is that good, or bad, news for us ?
-
Jon, yer team is SHITE !!!! Just cost me 160 quid. Had them, Hibs, Aberdeen and Ayr Utd. However..... Sunderland won me a fiver (big deal !!!). Also - come on BRUM !!!! Waiting on them for 260. Had them, Palace, Burnley, Reading, Wolves
-
FFS - took all of TWO minutes between me posting this and them scoring !!!
-
OK, so 15 mins left and a thread is started - so we can fully expect two Tim goals in that time..... Did anyone check the stats ? Celtic - 4 shots total (1 on target). Jambos 9 in total (3 on target). Seems they really ARE struggling. Also, is Maloney injured ? He was replaced after just 30 mins.
-
I fully expect a win for the Tims despite being down. The saddest part is that had we won today they may just have shit themselves to the point of playing poorly anyway and not taking their chances. Given they are 1 down but we only gained one point..... not nearly as much pressure. What a couple of weeks it would have been after last week and then if we had picked up 3 followed by a Hearts win...... Now we have a crucial game against Hibs at Ibrox, regardless of the Tims FT score today.

I agree Re Whittaker, who wouldnt...... for a full back to allow dangerous crosses in from there is criminal. However, unlike the first half, he got very little assistance from Davis. McGregor really needs to command his area a whole lot more though. He had a couple of decent saves but he is still culpable, in part, for the 2 goals we conceded. On the bright side the Tims are down 1-0 at home.

First goal was Papac's man. Whittaker let the cross get in (what is the point of a full back again if not to prevent crosses into the box ?) and, in my opinion, McGregor could and should have done better. 2nd goal was McCulloch's man to mark and he let him get the header in without much of a challenge - however, it was a long, looping cross which, again, McGregor should have come and cleaned out the whole 6 yd box with a punch

Just to clarify though - I do actually agree with MF about McCoist - not managerial material.... YET.. in my opinion.

Wake up on the wrong side of bed MF ? Your post says more about you than me. Thanks but your rephrase does nothing but state the same as your previous post. As for the rudeness - water off a duck's back. We are all used to it from you but, as I said, says more about you than anyone you direct your wrath at.

WS had the same approach first time around. AM isnt making ANY of the decisions from the touchline. Some managers prefer to be on the touchline but WS has favoured the stands for a long time, as far as I am aware.

By "truth" you mean your gut instinct - no more than supposition at this stage, right ?

How do you work that out ?

It really IS silly season !!! This is from Sportinglife.com Zenit St Petersburg boss Dick Advocaat believes Andrei Arshavin is "too good" for Tottenham and Rangers. The Russian playmaker has been regularly linked with a big-money move away from the UEFA Cup holders but as yet a transfer has failed to materialise. A number of clubs have been mooted as potential suitors for his signature, with Spurs, Barcelona, Real Madrid and, most recently, Rangers all suggested as interested parties. Advocaat recently expressed his belief that Zenit should allow the 27-year-old to leave but does not feel a switch to White Hart Lane or Ibrox would prove beneficial to his career. The Dutch coach said in the Daily Mirror: "As a manager I would like Arshavin to stay but as a person I realise that he deserves more. "But Andrei is too good for Spurs or Rangers. It would be better for him to stay in St Petersburg than to go to London or Glasgow. Tottenham has a fine reputation but I doubt that Arshavin will want to move there. "I do not want to offend Roman Pavlyuchenko, but in my opinion Arshavin is a much classier player. He needs to move to a really great club. He didn't show his best form recently. For St Petersburg he doesn't perform as strongly as he used to. "For me, it's obvious Zenit must let him go. I'm sure that as soon as he joins one of the European giants there will be no problems with his motivation. "In fact, he'll probably do even better than he did here."

From the Scottish Sun so take with pinch of salt ! CHARLIE ADAM has been told he can LEAVE Rangers when the transfer window opens. SunSport can reveal that the home-grown midfielder is the latest star to be made available in January. Adam, just two seasons into a five-year contract, has failed to hold down a regular place and itââ?¬â?¢s understood he was given the shattering news by boss Walter Smith yesterday morning. The left-sided star has hit 18 goals in 85 top-team games but has never been a favourite among the Ibrox faithful. Now Adam, who turned 23 yesterday, has been told he can find another club as Gers seek to reduce the wage bill. They have also stalled on fresh contract talks with Scotland defender Kirk Broadfoot. Boss Smith was ready to hand the stopper a bumper new deal more than five weeks ago. But Broadfootââ?¬â?¢s agent Tom Callaghan insisted last night that all attempts by his representatives to get in touch with Gers chief executive Martin Bain have fallen on deaf ears. It is understood Gers DO want to hold on to the 24-year-old. Ibrox sources claim the delay is down to the fact they want to slash their ballooning wage bill before offering anyone improved terms. Yet that message hasnââ?¬â?¢t been relayed to Broadfoot or his agent. Callaghan said: ââ?¬Å?Weââ?¬â?¢ve made numerous attempts to speak to Rangers about Kirkââ?¬â?¢s future. But at this moment they arenââ?¬â?¢t prepared to talk about it. ââ?¬Å?There isnââ?¬â?¢t anyone who is more of a Rangers man than Kirk. ââ?¬Å?He dreams of winning things with the club and maybe even captaining them one day. I just hope he gets a chance to live out those dreams.ââ?¬Â Broadfoot penned a contract until May 2010 when he joined from St Mirren 18 months ago. But he has since established himself in the side and won three caps. It is believed he wants a deal on a par with some of Gersââ?¬â?¢ other established stars ââ?¬â? thought to be an increase of around Ã?£3,500 a week. SunSport revealed yesterday that a number of Gersââ?¬â?¢ fringe players will go next month. They could include Chris Burke, Steven Smith and Christian Dailly.

Is actually very straight forward Gribz

Not being thick at all man. Asian handicapping sometimes seems wierd. If it were me I would take the 0.5 as it is better odds and, as you say, anything but a Celtic win means you win money and that being the case it matters little whether you have 0.5 or 1 of a handicap. Where it would matter is if it is "draw, no bet" as you could get a 1-0 Celtic win but because you have +1 you get your stake back.
-
Nope, not the same thing. With a 0.5 asian handicap there can only be a winner and loser (i.e. no draw). With a 1.0 asian handicap you can get the draw.

I didnt see where I was disagreeing with you - and if you look at my prior post I gave an example of someone who DID make the grade despite being loaned out. Why did you quote my post and not Gav's, as he was the one who suggested WS doesnt give youth a chance?
-
Yep, Aguiar got it.
-
True, there are more who havent made the grade with us than have. He is a young lad and as an LB he has to get ahead of Papac and, possibly, Stevie Smith - so it depends on how long WS sticks around and how he develops.
-
It seems though that the club are bringing him back after taking medical advice. If the doctors say he is ready then I guess he is ready. Lets just hope the docs are right.

We said the same with McGregor though.......
