Nah, just seems like it. This is a Braga v Rangers thread Europa League Not Scottish Football Aberdeen aren't in Europe Rangers are Rangers beat solid European opposition This is "Rangers Chat" thread Aberdeen didn't play tonight Aberdeen didn't play in Europe tonight Aberdeen haven't played in Europeall season (I am sure you will correct me, which is fine because I couldn't tell you who they last played in Europe or when) You reference Aberdeen in numerous threads where they aren't worth mentioning - this being, quite possibly, the most pertinent given we have just beaten a solid Portuguese team (Aberdeen aren't Portuguese) in the Europa League (Aberdeen aren't in the Europa League) to qualify for the last 16 of said competition (Aberdeen STILL aren't in said competition)… If it weren't for the above I would be suspecting you have an unhealthy obsession with Aberdeen - though I have no doubts over your Rangers supporting credentials -

“Fans were also fantastic...” I have to question that Frankie, sorry. on the whole maybe, and fine voice absolutely. But burying the vocal and whole-hearted support behind the whole shouldn’t excuse the “minority” from their actions tonight. we will be incredibly lucky if we don’t see, at the very least, a partial stadium closure, and by that I mean one whole stand, for the next game. so that “fantastic support” might have caused us to lose £35x10,0000 (or fairly close) - so £350,000 in ticket revenue (assuming nothing a full stadium closure). its fucking ridiculous when they all know that everyone has eyes on us. dislike it or not, think it’s unfair or not, but how many times do we need to shoot ourselves in the foot ?? and to say “the fans were fantastic” without the caveat disappoints me as a Gersnet member. We should be better, we should be leading from the front. Delighted as I am tonight, I fear we’re going to get pummelled for the useless add-one. That support could have provided the same level of support tonight without the ads-one. The defiance is costing the club. And that, to me, calls into question what is more important to these folks. -

Which ultimately is nothing more than yet another cover up of the Club.... “wisnae us, was those guys before us”. Theyre effectively trying to push the separate entity agenda to get out of settlements and court cases.... but they love to “newco” us.... so..... are they defending themselves on a “newco” basis or accepting they’re the same organization ??? They could end up in a shit ton of hurt if they don’t play this well -

What is the relevance of 1997 ? A newly formed company so any victims would have to chase down a defunct company ? -

The very same who will have ensured Rangers say "we don't want any away tickets" will be the ones to complain that the club have no spine. Fucking ridiculous. -

If, and it is a big if obviously, I am right.... This will see us play the next round (assuming we get through this tie) either behind closed doors or with a stand closed again. The same people who demand their "freedom of speech" to sing what they want, will complain when the club doesn't have half a million quid to spend on a player - a similar amount to revenues lost from playing in a less than full Ibrox for a home European tie. I despair at our own sometimes. And I take no pleasure in posting about it whilst we are on the cusp of an excellent aggregate result in Europe. -

Why oh why oh why do our fans go away from home and think it is wise to sing the add-ons - fucks sake, talk about foot in mouth disease - I am listening to the audio on RTV and it seems clear enough - though I stand to be corrected. -

But Ian, the creation of, and missing, 3 gilt edged chances is eerily similar to what we would have done last year. Last year was similar n that we created the chances but weren't clinical enough to convert them. -

Correct. It is more of a 4-3-2-1 - inverted Xmas tree formation, and one which I think could suit. Arfield is, IMO, better breaking from deeper behind the front lines - Hagi & Kent will be either side of Kamberi, which should allow Arfield to break between the half-spaces...… when we have the ball anyway. Jack & Davis will clearly be expected to provide the cover defensively and Davis will, presumably, be expected to recycle the ball when in possession. -

If looking at just form I would agree. However, Davis and Aribo would be playing two different positions this evening - Davis will be far more central than Aribo would be if he were in the team -
My doubt is more in hope than belief, a forlorn wish for the game to be pure I guess. And by that I mean hope that those that should be impartial aren't willingly and wantonly being prejudicial towards one club. It's not wanting to believe in outright cheating. However, and even ignoring this season's officiating, I may have been one of the first to suggest that corruption may be evident in the game regarding officials last season when attending t he first Hibs game at Ibrox where Beaton sent off Ryan Jack for absolutely nothing whilst allowing Stokes to stay on the pitch for 90 minutes despite AT LEAST two infractions deserving of AT LEAST a yellow card (his manhandling of Tavernier was worthy of a red on its own merits). That was when I first, in recent years at least, suspected sinister actions.
-
Would that choice of wording not actually suggest that they are, indeed, corrupt ? Playing devil's advocate because I don't buy the corrupt terminology yet either - but incompetent is undoubted. And Celtic, their PR machine, and their zealot fanbase have petrified officials into no longer being impartial when officiating their games.
-
But that isn't what your suggestion was with regards to salaries - it was that those on higher salaries contribute more than those on lower salaries. Morelos HAS contributed more. You are now moving the goalposts somewhat by bringing his negatives into the discussion. Are you now trying to suggest that those on higher salaries should be perfect ? Because if that is so I am categorically telling you that there is no such thing. Nobody has suggested he hasn't cost us points, in the same way a company wouldn't tell you that a CEO couldn't have made his company more money by doing things a little differently. What is your argument about those with higher salaries again ?
