  1. The former is derogatory, bigoted and sectarian insult about my religion, the latter is a playground insult with no real meaning.
  2. It depends on who is carrying out the investigation. Reach may have their own centralised HR department, and may see it best to do it properly for their overall corporate image. The Daily Record is a small part of Reach, and they wouldn't want the group to be damaged for the sake of a few Scottish journalists.
  3. You're the one who has been making cryptic comments. You've suggested that at least one poster on this thread isn't against racism and sectarianism. Have the balls to name them rather than tarring everyone with the same brush. You've also made nameless, unexplained allegations against the admin on FF.
  4. Do you know any Celtic fans who don't call us Huns? Out of interest, why do you keep telling us that you're against racism and sectarianism? Do you think that you're unusual in that respect that you need to highlight it so often?
  5. McGivern has been reported to the police for some of his tweets.
  6. Can we keep the purely political discussion to the lounge and not derail the thread please?
  7. I think that's the same as everyone else on this thread.
  8. I recall that game and thought that I recall hearing it a few weeks before that, although perhaps not to the same extent. However it's a moot point.
  9. The EK bus one wasn't a fake. There's been suggestions that one of the city centre videos was a fake as the sounds and claps don't seem to match what was going on. I've seen another video that sounds like they're singing "the party's over, why don't you go home."
  10. It first emerged in 2008. I think it was last sung around 2011 or 2012.
  11. Evidence is an irrelevance to the legal system in Scotland under the SNP. Decisions are pre-decided.
  12. They didn't, but they've condemned the fans when the videos may also be fake.
  13. No, the club has condemned the fans prior to a trial, based on a video of dubious origin and political pressure, but they weren't so quick to condemn the players.
  14. Further club statement Club Statement | Rangers Football Club Were the club so quick to condemn those players in the dressing room who were subject to a fake video?
  15. Is that saying that those who have had the vaccinations are 27 times more likely to get Covid than those who have already had it? If so, I'm not sure I follow the logic. Surely the whole thing is not to get it in the first place and not risk the potentially life threatening symptoms that happen in a minority of cases.
  16. And the Chief Superindentent says "We will continue to work with Rangers FC to identify and take appropriate action against those responsible." Obviously under political instructions to bring Rangers into it. Apart from making prejudicial statements, it seems that he is saying that Rangers are responsible for issues that happen in the city centre. The police have become an arm of the SNP.
  17. I'd also say that the "famine chant" isn't sectarian, and was aimed at Scottish people pretending to be Irish. Those who want to be offended ignore the irony and claim to be offended and perhaps some genuinely are. I personally don't think it's offensive as it's taking the piss out of "plastic paddys" but certainly agree that it shouldn't be sung.
  18. I was certainly surprised when I heard the claims that it had been sung as I haven't heard it for many (8?) years. That's not to say that I wouldn't be surprised if there were songs sung which shouldn't be. However if someone is genuine about it then they shouldn't concentrate on examples that appear to be fake. That's a waste of time and just gets people's backs up. There's been real progress made, if you compare what's sung at Ibrox to what was sung 15 years ago. It's not an overnight process. It's also not helped by the continued free reign that the likes of the press and the SNP give to Celtic fans, who have been far worse than us over the past 10 years, and our young team see that and react with the "well, if they can do it..." attitude to an extent, although in general, again it's been a lot less than it has been in the past.
  19. Was there actually racism? Was this not made up by the press?
  20. I don't think that we did make that much more cash. It's difficult to tell what the net profit was in all years, but it seems like it was around £3.7m in 2004 and £2m in 2006. It's not clear if this was higher than we had got previously and appears lower than the annualised JJB deal that followed.
  21. The £4.5m from the share issue will be used to repay Dave King's £5m + interest loan due for repayment next month. The £10m figure I used had already factored in the commercial deals. Remember that we made a £16m loss in the 19/20 season. As I said above, we made a £16m loss in 19/20 season that included qualifying from the group stages of the EL. There were some league games with no crowd but other than any refunded season ticket cash, we would have had most of the cash from them anyway. It'll certainly be interesting to see where the finance comes from.
  22. On the face of it, I don't agree. We'll probably make a loss in excess of £10m this season, and I'm not sure how that's to be funded. Perhaps the directors/shareholders will invest further cash, but the impression I had was that they are not investing more. Perhaps there's to be a further large cash injection that we don't know about. However it seems to me that we needed to sell at least one player for £10m+, and I'm surprised that we haven't. Perhaps there's a gamble that we'll win the league again and earn the CL cash next season, but that's a Murray approach to running the club. I have to presume that the directors know what they're doing but we do need additional cash from somewhere.
  23. Would we really risk 3 points against celtic to put a loan deal potentially in jeapordy? You may be right, but I can't see it.
  24. If Katic wasn't fit enough for yesterday's bench, where we had no defenders, would another club take him? A rhetorical question, but it's a bit strange that he wasn't included on the bench.
  25. That's presumably why we brought in Sakala.
