  1. Southern White racist nonsense. Brought to you by the same people who told you that Covid did not exist and that they should fail to recognise social distancing as it impinged on their 'freedom'.
  2. There are differing views within the movement. It's only political in the sense that any challenge to the establishment is political. You don't have to sign up to regime change to subscribe to anti-racism.
  3. I wouldn't mind seeing us promote that more widely, not just in images at Central Station. It's often forgotten that we had an Egyptian muslim playing for us in the early years of last century.
  4. That is not what they would be doing if they take the knee or whatever. I think only Spurs have refused but maybe that is to do with a large Jewish support. Even so very much doubt that displaying a BLM banner implies support for your first 2 propositions; it is simply an extension of the idea that racism is wrong.
  5. I'm sorry but that is just patent nonsense. BLM often espouses the words of Black Panther leaders like Fred Hampton and Malcolm X who attacked capitalism and went to great lengths to include whites in their fight. Racism is a tool used to divide people. But I do sympathise with your doubts about 'trans' people and the effect on female supporters. Identity politics has little to do with real equality and is a middle class fad which detracts from the real struggles of working people. As for 'marxist fascism' this is an oxymoron. You know nothing about marxism if you can utter that phrase in the same sentence.
  6. I wonder if you have considered the feelings of the many black players we have and have had. And I see nothing wrong whatever with BLM (whoever they are) supporting Palestine; Israel is the most powerful racist state in the world.
  7. We don't hear people saying 'London' Arsenal or Edinburgh Hibernian, yet we have to be differentiated from QPR or Berwick.
  8. And notice that nowhere does the word 'Glasgow' appear. There are still people who don't know the name of our club.
  9. Awful. Just show the same battling spirit you did as a player, Scott.
  10. 12! When tierney goes for 25M and he's a wing back. Why are we such a soft touch?
  11. Thanks. Have heard so much about him but not seen him in action yet.
  12. Considering all the negative comments folk are making about both Katic and Helander it sounds very much like we do need a new left-sided defender! Maybe Leon King or Mayo might step up.
  13. There is a comparison here with De Gea and Henderson of Man U. Solskaier obviously prefers the latter to get game time while he matures. He is the same age as McCrorie.
  14. Me too despite my username. Alex was the first Ranger I saw in the flesh, standing on the terracing right near to where he went chasing up and down. Willie just had more to his all-round game.
  15. I think buster has blocked himself hasn't he??
  16. Just wondering if the responsibility of being captain is the root of Tav's indifferent form. Would Goldson handle it better?
  17. He's towering over Billy Wright! Never realised that before.
  18. Sure he was mentioned when SG was first appointed. Not keen if he is just on loan though.
  19. If they make it then it's not. But you have to ask why he didn't get a shot at Leicester. I would like nothing better than for us to grow our own and have a nucleus of 5 or 6 devpt. squad graduates. Least he's a permanent signing; I hate the conveyor belt of short-term loanees and hope this signals a change of strategy.
  20. Only problem is I think he is being groomed to replace Barisic. Halliday's place also at risk now. Hope Bassey makes it but I've seen too many development squad players from clubs down south fail to cut it with us and end up in the third tier of England.
  21. Black Players Matter! Actually I think Bassey was born in Italy from immigrant parents.
  22. None of these things seemed to worry the 9iar squad though - and I'm sure we had to contend with dodgy refereeing decisions etc. then. We had also players like Stuart McCall who we don't quite have the equivalent of now. I don't think Keltic have better players than us man for man - but they definitely are more consistent. Anyone know - do we have an actual sports psychologist on the staff? Used to pooh-pooh them but I think their input is sorely needed now.
