HT 1-0 Gers. Scoreline flatters ICT, we have controlled that whole half but we cant get too complacent. Must start second half with same tempo.

We had then carved open there but Miller fluffs the easy pass to put Tav ( I think) clean through. As has been the case all season, our final ball is all too often not good enough. So far Wallace, McKay, Miller have all had easy passes to create scoring chances but haven't made the killer pass. Very small margins of error prevents us from being out of sight, but we dominated the ball and territory in the first half and look about as comfortable defensively as it is possible for our defence to look. Still wouldn't back us for a clean sheet though!

Some great stuff from us the last few minutes, need a second now to give us some comfort. Nico & McKay having a good game so far.

ICT done their homework all right. Getting the ball in behind our defence at every opportunity, and our back line is badly out of line, Tav ball-watching there when he should have stepped out, shot sclaffed wide thankfully.

Could easily be 1 down already as a long free kick from ICT sees Kiernan lose his man as usual but the free header went over the bar. Very scrappy game so far after 15 mins, one half decent chance for Waggy after a good aggresive run but a weak shot.

I hope so too as we have been crying out for a penalty box striker to put away the countless chances we create. If Garner turns out to be this man, all well and good. I dont think the comparison with Nico is fair as he has a good pedigree and is a class player, and class will shine through as it is beginning to now. Hopefully Garner just needs games, but when most of us are not picking him in their preferred selections, he wont get any better/fitter/more prolific from the bench. He looks to me like a poacher striker that plays best with a partner to play beside. His nearest teammate when he plays for us is usually 25 yards away on the touchline or deep in midfield. I hope im wrong but it looks like a round peg in a square hole. So, a hat-trick tonight for Garner then!

A very expensive back-up Frankie. We have paid more (reportedly) for this guy than for everyone else we have bought since 2012 put together, yet he cant get in the side when we dont score enough goals? That is either a monumental cock-up by management or.......nope I think that nails it.

That was the year POTY finally gave up being a meaningful accolade. Ricksen wasnt in our top 5, and Hartson wasnt in their top 5. Journos came up with that stupid decision, says more about the journos than the players.

All about opinions mate, and I absolutely detested Ricksen. Hauled off at the piggery after 25 minutes because Bobby feckin Petta was destroying him set the tone for his career, and it didnt go well from there. He was so bad he had to be moved into midfield to play him as he couldnt be trusted at full back - despite us paying £4M for his services to play there. Periods of suspension and injury were the norm, front page stories about bad behaviour were regular, he was an absolute disgrace with no talent whatsoever, IMO. A few good games in midfield when being protected by Ferguson and chasing a new contract is what some choose to remember, not me. It might not be a fair comparison to Sebo, but I am genuinely not sure who I am doing the disservice to.

That was the "from" price for a 3 game package that included the tims game, not the price you would pay for ONLY the tims game. If £135 seems excessive to you (and to me!), it doesnt even tell the real story.

Couldnt have put it better myself. An absolute disaster of a player, and as far away from legend status as Sebo. Cult figure perhaps, certainly not legend. This is a sign of the biggest danger facing Rangers as the great unwashed and their voicepieces start to gather pace on strict liability now that their attempt at actual law has failed due to the law being, well, the law and not subject to the bias of a few celtic-minded bigots in high places. We can already see that well placed bigots like Walker, Sutton, et all on Sky & BT are, together with their producers and editors, focusing on anything Rangers players do and ignoring anything celtic players do, or indeed any players do TO Rangers players. Add in a celtic fan as compliance officer, planted SFA and SPFL ceo's and you can influence everything to do with the game from a tim-leaning perspective. If we add in strict liability, then we will soon have TBB costing us points or stand closures, while they will ignore through lack of evidence, lack of complaints, etc, the IRA-oke heard around the country every week when the tims go on their travels. It has got well past the point where this can be written off as delusional paranoia, the evidence and facts are mounting up every week against our club and our supporters, while we are told to "know our place" and basically told to shut up and take whats coming to us. The Espanyolification (look it up if you dont know about it) of Rangers is well under way.

As the teams come out, we have 4 flag bearers that the teams walk through to enter the pitch. One Saltire, one UJ, and two Rangers flags. These flags then go to either end of the ground and get waved when we score. It has been this way for years. The OP seems to have noticed that one of the flags, the Saltire, was missing yesterday.

We have Ryan Hardie who, anytime I see clips of him out on loan, looks better than Garner,Dodoo & Miller to me but the gaffer thinks otherwise. our manager doesn't seem to be one for youth players he hasn't signed.

Are you sure there was no Saltire yesterday? Was there something in its place or only 3 flags brought out? I didn't notice myself as I was still reading a great article in the programme about Thistle being our lodger a century ago so only looked up as the teams were turning round after the coin toss. The Willie Vass link at the start of this thread shows the banner concerning the marchers in NI being allowed to finish their parade, but I couldn't read it in full such was the poor handwriting on show. Didn't notice that at the game either although I do tend to try to ignore anything that comes from the crèche area of the Broomie.
