Secco own the assets, there is a business plan in place for either div 1 or div 3, more investment on the way, fans will get chance to buy into club, club are happy to go to div 3.

The fans reps appointed the guys on the RFFF to ask the questions of the new board and see the proof we all need, and they have told us everything is in order. These are real good and proper bears who never in a million years would tell their fellow fans anything but the truth about what the board are up to. They are satisfied the new board are on the level and that's good enough for me, as it should be for most bears.

I fail to see any eventuality where the interests of the owners and their investment will not match the interests of the club in all this. I can understand it if we were talking about the potential sale of a key player for a lot of dosh, but we are talkiing about much bigger things and I cannot see where there could be any misalignment.

Yet again the attention is not on Regan after yet another disastrous display yesterday, and yet again I am guessing none of them are taking seriously the huge news of the letter to the SPL from Di Stefano.

Regain has to walk. How many shambolic episodes must he be responsible for before he is brought to account. When you compare the constant pressure Gordon Smith was under in that role compared to the way Regan is reported, it is truly staggering. Our media is rotten to the core.

I would actually say in all fairness the day after Walter left as manager at the end of the 1997-98 season. It was at this point when Murray appointed Advocaat and started to chase a dream that was to ultimately end up costing us everything. The overspending in that 3 year period between 1998-2001 was totally insane given the possible financial rewards, and resulted in us going to around £80M of debt and a decade of downsizing. When Murray's own empire hit the skids in 2008 when the world economy crashed and the bank effectively took over the major decisions at our club, it was bad enough, then when the bank forced through a sale to a new owner that the previous board had warned not to, the club was fecked. It can all be traced back to the Advocaat era, and Murray's irresponsible spending spree.

If this is true, and I havent a clue where to even begin to check all that stuff out, then surely this is the biggest bit of news to hit the continuing story of Rangers in crisis since the start and will be worthy of countless pages of attention tomorrow in the media. Or they will just ignore it as it doesnt fit their agenda. We shall see when tomorrows rags are printed.

I feckin hate unions, and the footballers one is clearly no different. How feckin dare they say we are preventing them from playing football, they all had excellant contracts with Rangers and were being asked to stay (for the time being anyway) and honour their contracts. They chose to leave purely out of greed and opportunity, and how dare the PFA Scotland even attempt to say they have acted professionally.

To the OP that says he doesnt speak for him - Murray makes that quite clear when he says that the fans have nothing to apologise for, unless you want to read into it that he is apologising for the fans. He quite clearly lays the blame at our previous owners (both of them) but acknowledges that the snowball effect of us being defrauded as a club by those two and the LBG between them has meant that all clubs are going to suffer, and he is sorry for that. I also agree that it looks too much like the stories in the papers today have some credence, and I have major difficulty in accepting the other sanctions which really affect our competitive ability but strengthen our rivals at the same time by saving the tv and commercial deals.

Well this has all really come out of the blue and makes a lot of us need to pause for a re-think. We have been told by every authority going that Rangers are not a special case and cannot be treated as such. in other words, the old "sporting integrity" line. After months of fighting a losing battle to get the rest of football to realise we were the innocent parties in a fradulent action by a crook at the bank and a crook of an owner, an action which has recently become the subject of an official investigation, our fans finally seemed to accept defeat and that we would need to adhere to the rules in place and start again at the bottom of the professional football ladder in Division 3. Our acceptance of this must have come as a total surprise to our enemies who probably never believed they would get this kind of result in their wildest dreams. It has meant that a major u-turn is now the order of the day, with the financial realities that they cannot live without our country's biggest and best club at the top of the food chain now hitting home, no doubt via club accountants and bank managers. Indeed, turkey's have never voted for Christmas, and it seems the other clubs have woken up from their envy-driven campaign to have us removed from football just in the nick of time to see they themselves would die if they see it through. It is now we should be jumping on the offensive IMO. Announce now that the deal being offered is now off the table and we will look to the SFL to allow us into Division 3 in time for the new season, unless our SPL share is transferred to our new corporate entity and our place in the SPL is accepted as before WITHOUT any further sanctions. We have been punished enough with the points deduction, loss of players, loss of a major slice of our income with the 3 year Euro exile and there is no doubt we will struggle to get ourselves financially viable over the next few seasons and therefore will probably not be as competitive as we would like to be. We say to the rest of Scottish football, no more. The line in the sand is drawn. You know how much Rangers bring into the game in this country, which subsidises the other clubs enormously. Either we stay in a fair and competitive league and you all stay solvent, or we go to Division 3 and you all can go to hell. If your lucky we will see you again in 3 years time if you have managed to survive. To hell with pandering to these hate-driven scumbags who think we owe them a living. If they open the door just a little and see a chink of light, we should batter down the door.

We have seen already the scum getting rid of several players off their burgeoning wage bill and their desparate attempt to sell Ki or Wanyama before their accounting deadline of 30 June to try to repair their substantial loss for 11-12 failed dramatically as the teams "quoted" as bidding silly sums of money for SPL average players turned around and refuted the morally-bankrupt club's claims. Im with Rab above in that the master plan was to make it so that we were included but severely hampered with points deductions in the SPL to ensure the scum romped the league but retained the OF games and TV money, while getting the CL spot to themselves for the next few seasons. Their use of the media to stoke up the fans to ensure we were not given a sympathetic hearing for being raped and pillaged by Whyte the fraudster went too far as everyone enjoyed getting their big size 9 tackety boots polished up for the jealous boot at the club they could only be envious of. Thankfully, Scotlands most shameful and morally-bankrupt club will also now be hit hard by their own actions. I am hearing they (insiders at CFC) are trying to claim ST renewals are up on last year, oh how I laughed at that one, and when I asked if he knew anyone who had signed up for a ST that didnt previously have one it was a blank response. When we discussed how many of his fellow scum fans were not renewing due to either the increased price, the lack of OF games, the fact Lennon is staying, or the fact the football on the park is crap and there is no appetite for a second successive tainted title, the numbers are plentiful. With us in Div 3 the SPL is broken and the real fans of every club know it. Im talking about the ones who go every week, home and away. Not the keyboard warriors or big game charlies, the grass roots footy fans. And the biggest losers after us in all this are of course going to be our city rivals.

That reads ok to be fair, until you remember that this guy has used our predicament to obtain a much better deal for himself than he could have got by staying loyal to the club and using the reduced transfer fee previously negotiated to help both the club and himself. Nobody would have wished him anything but the best had he done this, but his and his agents greed will forever leave a sour taste in all Rangers fans mouth. I hope Sion dont mind waiting until March for him to start playing well, as it was only around that time of year he ever came good for us.

Good question. The guys in question (Jardine & Hannah) offered to be involved when it was a fund-raising initiative primarily, and have obviously continued to be involved now that the remit has been extended. For me, I have no problem with them as they have both shown over the last few months that they clearly want what is best for the club above all other things. I have no doubt it would be a very difficult position for them to be in if the RFFF found Green to be up to no good, and it would then be up to them to decide how best to continue, probably by resigning from either the committee or their jobs. Until that day comes I suppose we have to thank them for their involvement and hard work and have no reason to doubt their integrity. (theres that feckin word again!)

I agree far too late but the reasons for that will also be made clear on Wednesday, or so i'm told anyway. Should be very interesting then I am sure you'll agree.

Perhaps if you are going on Wednesday you will find out. If not, you can ask whoever represents you to keep you informed (RSC, RST, etc)

The Assembly is well represented and included in the RFFF as far as I am aware and is working with other members of the RFFF for the betterment of the club. Much like it done with the Working Group and other cross-group initiatives.

Its not about blindly supporting the owner. Its about asking the questions and getting the proof of the answers. When you get the answers to your satisfaction and beyond doubt, you then move on to the next item. I believe every single one of the guys involved int he RFFF had major concerns about Green and his band at the start of discussions but as time has went on and every single question has been answered satisfactorily, proof shown, lies spouted elsewhere proven as such, then there comes a time when it is only right and proper to start to give some benefit of the doubt to the owners. Not a blank canvass to go ahead and do what they like, but tentative forward steps together for the good of the club.

plg, You know me better than that. I make absolutely no comment about you or the majority of your RST board members, many of whom I have the utmost respect for as you well know. If you disagree that people are actively working agsinst the owners of our club, then we will have to agree to disagree on that one. I firmly believe that there are. You are of course correct in that the meeting of the RFFF I refer to was the original meeting, not the follow-up one on the day of the march. The facts of how it happened are correct however. There can be no doubt that Mark is there as a rep of the RST/FF. If the RST board wish to have a different rep involved in the RFFF that is your right. What cannot be argued is that the RST has been actively supporting many groups, Blue Knights, McColl, Brown, and have never given any support to the current owners, despite being shown the same evidence as the rest of the RFFF which proves funding etc. Why is that? I didnt ask for anyone to stand down, that is not my right. I find it difficult to understand how anyone can stay on the RFFF committee while backing other groups. I only stated that it was suggested he stand down, and he declined. I hope you are able to attend the meeting on Wednesday in order that you can hear the answers to the questions you are unsure about, and hopefully reassure you, like me and many others, that the current owners are worthy of our ST renewal. Personally I have not returned my ST either, not because I think Green is going to steal the money, not beacuse I am unsure if I am going to go next season or not, but in principle until I understand that we have a league to play in, what league that is, and what the cost of the ST will be to watch it. Hopefully these far more important issues are resolved soon and we can all get behind the team and the club going forward.

Ok Mr Hope, if you want to invest in your favourite football club, why not just phone up the current owners who have puiblicly stated they will happily take anyone's money who want to invest? If it is Rangerss fans you want to invest with, why didnt you get involved with the Blue Knights when they were desperately scrounging around for investors as their numbers hit the skids? If its just publicity for your agency you are after, why not just come out and talk to all the papers and tv about how you are going to do this and that and invest with a bid that has no chance of ever buying the club? Oh wait a minute.....

I dont speak for the RFFF as I am not involved in it, but I am close to what is going on in it and would offer this as a response. At the last meeting of the RFFF which was on the day of the march to Hampden, the representatives of the Rangers support who were gathered there suggested, voted and confirmed that they were giving a mandate to the committee of the RFFF to act on behalf of the support collectively in dealing with club issues. At that meeting it was asked for anybody who wanted to be part of the RFFF committee to step forward. A handful of guys did just that and they were duly accepted onto the RFFF committee with the approval of the attendees. The RFFF includes members of the RST, Assembly and Association as well as some forums, individual RSC's and well known and trusted fans like Andrew McCormack, Bobby Roddie and Andy Smillie (now resigned). One area I agree with you on is that of collective responsibility. That should have been a given. Unfortunately the RST rep has broken ranks with this as he is fully supportive of another group, but refuses to step down from the RFFF when pressed. The RFFF have had weekly meetings with D&P, then the Green consortium after they took over, to discuss club business. They have been asking the questions all fans wanted answered, including seeing proof of funding and the backers to the group, and have been working constructively with the club owners to try to overcome the many problems we are facing regarding getting a league to play in. I dont believe there is a conflict of interests as a collective, as their only interests are to save our club. Some of the committee should have stepped down, but didnt. They continue to work with the club via the RFFF and actively work against the club by pushing any number of bids (TBK, McColl, Brown). I dont know how they square that circle.

Division 1 is only acceptable if the sanctions that accompany it are balanced. IMO they are currently unfair and unbalanced and we cannot accept them. The powers that be cannot have their cake and eat it. Either we are the same club as before, in which case our right to be in the SPL is assured but they are open to raise sanctions for our financial implosion, or we are a new application, in which case we can have no sanctions because we have not played a game yet, not broken any rules, and are entitled to be treated as such. What the SFA et all are trying to do is say we are a new application which has to take responsibility for the financial implosion of Scottish football due to our previous entity's mismanagement (throught a fraudulent takeover forced through by a bank) and we have to pay everybody for the wrongdoings of a bank and Whyte. It doesnt make any sense or stand up to scrutiny.
